Voted "Best World/Reggae band" in the North Bay Area, California's Sol Horizon delivers a unique style of High Vibes Music. Anchored by former members of Groundation and Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, Sol Horizon seamlessly blends Roots Reggae with Funk, Rock and Electronic Dance. With lyrics that touch on themes of peace, community, sustainability and the re-vitalizing power of nature, the band moves feet and inspires minds, creating a positive musical experience that continues to attract fans from across the globe.
Sol has shared the stage with legendary acts like Morgan Heritage, Prezident Brown, Collie Buddz, The Twinkle Brothers, The Meditations, Eek-A-Mouse, Don Carlos and the J.G.B. Band (to name a few) in both concert halls and festival stages across the USA. In 2008, they collaborated with British Roots Reggae star Pato Banton on the recording of their third album "Party Revolution," which featured Pato on the title track. The band has recently expanded on its unique style of reggae with a 4th album, “Ready For Action” released in June of 2012. The chemistry in the band is better than ever, so expect to hear great things from Sol Horizon in 2013.
KINGSBOROUGH combines a unique mix of blues, rock, and funk. The band was started by singer/songwriter, Billy Kingsborough and guitarist, Alex Leach. They have played shows throughout California, on the street corners of Argentina, performed for sports stars such as Joe Montana, and shared the stage with well-known artists such as the Fogerty family and country music star, Clay Walker.
In March of 2012 the band won the local San Francisco Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands, competing against thousands of bands from all over the Bay Area. As a result of this win, they were the San Francisco representative in a global online voting campaign against 85 other Hard Rock finalists from around the world. Out of those 85, KINGSBOROUGH placed 13th overall with over 5,800 people supporting their cause.
