The legend of Mike Stud dates back to his days growing up as one of Rhode Island's greatest baseball players of all time. As a highly touted high school senior, he was named Rhode Island's 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year, received Louisville Slugger Player of the Year honors, and won a full athletic scholarship to Duke University. Stud was selected as an All-American and now holds the lowest ERA in Duke baseball history after only his freshman season. After the promising start to Stud's collegiate baseball career, however, Tommy John surgery put him on the sidelines. Suddenly, making music became an outlet for him to pass the time. After only a few public releases of self-composed songs, he began to get notable recognition for his rhyming ability and was encouraged to continue.
After graduating Duke, Stud transferred to Georgetown to continue his studies as a graduate student and to continue his attempt at regaining full strength on the mound. Needless to say, he also continued working on music in his down time. Fast forward 14 months, and Stud is now one of the hottest upcoming musicians on the web. His rookie mixtape A Toast to Tommy, released last October, debuted at No. 3 and No. 2 on the worldwide and US iTunes Hip-Hop Albums charts. He has since headlined a sold-out 20-city national tour and has acquired nearly 10 million YouTube views. His versatility and fun, upbeat style has transformed Stud into a truly viral artist. With each new release, he is constantly showing the world that he's about to take it over.
Born and raised in Passaic County, New Jersey, Justina grew up surrounded by music. Justina's hip hop infused pop music is clearly a voice for the rebellious youth and her distinctive, raspy tone is hard to miss. Her strong and sometimes abrasive character, along with her fun-loving personality, is evident in tracks like the JR Rotem and Shy Boogs produced "Gangsta" and the Mr. Lee produced "Gloves Off".
An avid supporter of writing her own music, Justina is a breath of fresh air in an industry where an artist's point of view is sometimes hidden. Justina's original composition, "Gotta Make a Change", was selected for ShopRite's Partners in Caring 'Expressions of Hunger' national contest and she was featured on the back of General Mill's Cheerios box in September 2010. She has performed at numerous venues including The Market America International Conventions in Miami, FL and Greensboro, NC (for crowds of 30k), The Susan G. Komen for the Cure 'Babes Burnin' Rubber' breast cancer benefit at Motorsports Park Millville, NJ, The China Club, 40/40, and the Atlantic City's Pepsi Car Show. Justina's music has also been featured on popular television shows such as NBC'S Steven Spielberg directed "Smash", VH1's "Mob Wives", Oxygen Network's "Runnin Russell Simmons", and MTV's "True Life". Her video, 'Hard to the Body', recently appeared on Spike TV's "Top 100 YouTube Videos".
Justina released her newest project, "Route 80", on DatPiff.com. "Route 80" is produced by Shy Boogs, Skitzo & Ryan & Smitty.
She also performed in the 2012 Warped Tour in Holmdel, NJ, Darien Center, Ny, Scranton, PA, Mansfield, MA, Camden, NJ, Uniondale, NY, and Columbia, MA.
IamG is a 21-year old prolific emcee with a top tier education and athletic aptitude to match and rated top 50 college rappers by Brobible. "Life Is Beautiful" embodies all that the emcee has experienced in the past months and places him on a path of vertical mobility. Having worked with Young Money's Short Dawg and Lil' Chuckee, artists such as Chris Webby and Cam Meekins, and sharing stages with the likes of T.I, Wiz Khalifa, and Yelawolf, "Life Is Beautiful" is sure to bring a lot to the table.
In the early years following the new millennium, Michael Medall (founder of Modern Era Music and formerly known as M.I.C.), born in the midwest region of the United States, was becoming more in-tune with hip-hop culture. Michael grew up in a very musical family where the rhythms and beats were created to tell his story. Having played in multiple bands as a guitarist, pianist, and lead singer led him towards his true calling as a rising emcee in Hip-Hop. Now, he continues to shine light on real life issues, love, life, and beyond through his powerful productions and vocals.
In Fall of 2011 he made his journey from the midwest to Helsingborg, Sweden where he earned his title as a part-owner of Elk Skateboarding. Elk is still in existence today mostly supplying goods within the Scandinavian borders. During his stay, which lasted 7 months, he was connected with MF Studios and TFX Productions, a Swedish Independent Record Label. From that point, Michael was on-board as an in-house songwriter for the label. Here is where he began to truly establish his high abilities within songwriting and music production. To commemorate his dedication MF Studios agreed to give birth to his most recent release "Second Decade" which featured productions from himself and multiple talented producers. DJ Pain 1 was one of these talented producers who happened to have earned a platinum plaque for his production work on "The Recession" with hip-hop superstar Young Jeezy. Pain has also produced for artists such as Shyne, Gucci Mane, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, I-20, and many more. You can most definitely consider Michael as a powerful addition to this list of artists; offering much more than the usual word-play and catchy rhymes. He strives to bring a "real" element to each and every project.
Now, Michael has had the opportunity of rocking almost 20 shows in the Midwest upon his recent return from Europe. Most recently being his appearance at the Summer Set Music & Camping Festival, which featured artists such as Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and many more from multiple genres. This experience has already started to open more doors for Michael within the music industry. He is now in steady motion towards releasing his second installment of his official mixtape series titled "The Next Step", which is set to release Fall 2012. The project will continue to cater to music lovers of all kinds. As this has all been taking place he has now officially teamed with Decap Music in works on a classic album. The album is set to release by this January, though a final release date has not yet been finalized.
Having such an involved background in not only music, but in human relations, due to his past and recent works in the community, he has been able to collaborate in bringing positive opportunities to the youth in his hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. Michael continues to surprise audiences with his undying soul and love for Hip-Hop music, and we can all predict a very bright future to come.
