Princess Music is comprised of five musicians. The group is fronted by Tyler Ludwick, who orchestrates playful complexities and rich harmonies with a mixture of expertise and mirth. He applies his classical finger-style to an electric guitar, composition skills to string and woodwind textures, and passion for percussion to the polyrhythmic and irregular meters of the music. Princess Music displays high emotional and intellectual IQ and expresses poignant narratives found within the arrangements, which embody subtle pop sensibilities that create a sanctuary for even the most casual listener.
This will be the farewell performance of Princess Music. It has been a privilege to play for such wonderful fans! We would like to give you all one last performance worthy of the support and love we've received over the last few years.
Growing up studying classical piano, Shenandoah Davis cites influences such as Claude Debussy and Irving Berlin right alongside her more contemporary counterparts such as Kate Bush, Owen Pallett, and Van Dyke Parks. Her songs have been branded everything from parlour music to new folk to orchestral pop.
Shenandoah has taken her music all over the country, as well as to Japan, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, Portugal and Italy. She has shared stages with Laura Marling, Zoe Keating, Martha Wainwright, Mirah, Dark Dark Dark, Shearwater, Damien Jurado, and many many more.
Homegrown in the deserts and mountains, the plains and cityscapes of Colorado, Natalie Tate's songwriting is rooted firmly in Americana music traditions while also wandering into more ethereal places of longing and vulnerability. Inspired by the raw expressiveness of Jeff Buckley and Cat Power, Natalie's voice draws listeners inward, both into her music and into the forgotten spaces inside of ourselves. Listening to Natalie is like resting on one tiny island of control, surrounded by a bottomless blue sea of uncertainty. Her subtly and power, whether emanating from her voice or the electric guitar, is gracefully supported by Jeremy Averitt on bass and slide guitar, and Robin Chestnut on drums.
