Monster Magnet

Retro-rock visionaries Monster Magnet spent much of the 1990s struggling against the prejudices imposed upon image and sound by alternative rock fashion nazis. In fact, it wasn't until that movement's late-'90s decline that the band's dogged persistence finally paid off, when their fourth album, Powertrip, catapulted to gold sales status on the strength of its massive hard rock hit, "Space Lord." In the meantime, Monster Magnet had managed to become one of the most successful and influential bands associated with the so-called underground "stoner rock" scene. And yet, their influences span much further than that scene's foundations in '70s hard rock and metal, delving into space rock, psychedelia, and beyond.

Royal Thunder is a three-piece progressive rock band based out of Atlanta, Georgia. RT was formed in 2004 by guitarist Josh Weaver, his brother and his best friend. The band began performing in 2005 and over the years, there have been several lineup changes. Since October of 2012 the members of RT are as follows: Josh Weaver (guitar), Evan Diprima (drums) and MLny Parsonz (bass/vocals). Since Diprima joined the band in October 2012 the band has been heavily touring the US.

In 2007 they self-released their EP and started touring; at this time Jesse Stuber was on the drums. In 2010, Relapse Records took notice and signed RT re-releasing their EP; later in 2012 they released their full length album, CVI. Both the self-titled EP and CVI were recorded, produced and engineered by Joey Jones of Aria Studios whom the band has a long standing working and personal relationship.

Recently the trio recorded acoustic version of three songs from CVI with Weaver on acoustic guitar, Diprima on drums/percussion, and Parsonz on vocals and piano.

Anti-Mortem

Formed in 2008 and fronted by vocalist Larado Romo, ANTI-MORTEM's line-up includes older brother-guitarist Nevada Romo, guitarist Zain Smith, bassist Corey Henderson and drummer Levi Dickerson. With over 300 shows to their name, these Chickasha, Oklahoma natives (aged between 18 & 22) spent their formative nights and weekends woodshedding their sound on the concert stage they built themselves in the Smith family barn (originally intended to store an old car collection).

While Zain's parents were away working on the weekends, ANTI-MORTEM would turn their barn rehearsal space into a makeshift venue and hone their chops by inviting friends and family in Chickasha over for an afternoon of gravel-throated vocals, crunch-laden riffs, thick grooves, and some good ol'-fashioned Southern hospitality.

Nuclear Blast Entertainment President Monte Conner states: "ANTI-MORTEM connect with a fist-to-the-face, combining the power of American heavy metal and the down-home flavor of the classic Southern rock and blues they were raised on. I've been watching them develop for the past two years and they are now ready to show the world how a good ass-kicking is delivered."

"We are beyond pumped to be signing with Nuclear Blast Entertainment and to have Monte Conner in our corner," shares ANTI-MORTEM vocalist Larado Romo. "We are looking forward to a very long worldwide career with Nuclear Blast and are excited to finally have the opportunity to spread our music and message."

ANTI-MORTEM will record their debut album in March with Hollywood-based producer Bob Marlette (BLACK STONE CHERRY, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, SHINEDOWN, ROB ZOMBIE). The band's first full-length will be released later this year.
