The Goddamn Gallows

The Goddamn Gallows

The Goddamn Gallows began on a cold, dark and violent night in Lansing, Michigan, when 3 kids met in a face-scarring fight with Benton Harbor gangbangers at a notorious East Lansing flophouse.

They then migrated across the country, residing in LA squats and smoke stained apartments.

Sean Wheeler & Zander Schloss

Based on the resumes of vocalist Sean Wheeler (Throw Rag) and multi-instrumentalist Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks, the Weirdos, Joe Strummer), you'd expect a rambunctious sound emanating from the Legendary Duo, but you'd be wrong.

The twosome plays a hybrid of folk, country, pop, ragtime, bluegrass and gospel that includes all the frenzied energy and spirit of the duo's aforementioned bands, but is executed with a soulful dash of Americana charm not often heard west of the Mississippi.

Jayke Orvis & The Broken Band

A founding member of The .357 String Band and current member of the Goddamn Gallows, Jayke Orvis is ahead of his time even though he plays timeless music. The songs on his solo effort "It's All Been Said" are articles of the heart, exposing Orvis as a fragile, troubled soul. His depictions of love are raw and blue, the pages of his life littered throughout this album.
