Burrowing into liminal space, that forgotten zone between the organic and the inorganic, reality and surreality, that’s the place Bluetech calls home. Boundless cosmic beats stretch out across sprawling ambient soundscapes. Melodic strings pluck and shimmer; echoing voices expand and contract over the electronic landscape. You can’t pin down Evan Bartholomew, and there’s no sense trying.
Over a decade of releases has brought Bluetech’s music to fans of downtempo, future bass, and progressive electronic music, rife with emotional intent, and polyrhythmic percussion. From his homebase in the far-flung islands of Hawai’i, Bartholomew transcends the constructs normally associated with a calculated “electronic artist,” pursuing music with meaning and purpose. Choosing to spend his off-stage time meticulously tweaking precision productions, building the solar-powered studio of his dreams, running his music and arts webzine Nomadculture.net, or putting in time on his Critical Beats imprint—dedicated to preserving and protecting Earth’s remaining rainforests—Evan shirks preconceptions of fellow superstar producers.
Kaminanda's ever-evolving sound is a playground of original Midtempo grooves, tribal rhythms, Psy-Dub, and lush downtempo textures. His music is designed to take the listener/dancer on a journey traversing landscapes reflecting a myriad of diverse influences; a kaleidoscope of warm melodies and twisting, winding compositions. With six albums in his repertoire, this organic spaceship of frequencies balances musicality and ethereal soundscapes to evoke a deeper and hypnotic experience.
Desert Dwellers are a one of the foremost influences in a genre that they basically expanded from the ground up to be where it’s at today. With a blend of a variety of sources that have been composed to form a heavily weaved set of sounds that coincide in perfect harmony together Desert Dwellers has established themselves in not only their home area of Southern California and New Mexico but across the globe.
Taking a new approach on digital production, the main members Amani Friend & Treavor Moontribe have combined the raw sounds of the natural world with skillfully blended deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices and culture crossing instrumentation into sonic incense for the mind and body. With this blend of dance tracks and down tempo sounds they have enabled themselves to give a heightened sense of being to listeners through their musical medium.
Bringing the electronic bass music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between worlds. Joining solid groove with sounds of serenity, their signature aesthetic feels as natural on the dance floor as it does after hours or on the mat. Due in no small part to Desert Dwellers’ pioneering spirit, the very concept of chill-out and sacred bass music has expanded dramatically. These sound alchemists offer cutting edge techniques that blend the modern edge of electronica with ancient and organic sounds, offering a spellbinding hybrid with echoes of our tribal past and future. The result has been the prolific production of genre blending dance tracks and downtempo grooves that make for truly memorable listening experiences.
Jamie Janover is recognized as a true innovator. His considerable creative output includes: being a master of the ancient percussion stringed instrument called the hammered dulcimer, inventing and performing on an instrument he calls the "mini-kit" (a miniature amplified drum kit), playing pyrocussion (fire drums) and creating the RealmsMobile (a recumbent tricycle with the mini-kit attached, enabling him to ride and play drums simultaneously).
Combining the innovations of modern technology with the wisdom of ancient instruments, Janover is achieving a creative balance between the electronic and the acoustic to create a unified field: music reflective of the nature of modern times.
For many years Janover has maintained a rigorous touring schedule, alternating between acts including: LYNX & Janover, ZILLA (w/ Michael Travis from SCI and Aaron Holstein), PRAANG (w/ EOTO & Steve Kimock) and The Everyone Orchestra (w/ a revolving lineup), among others. He is currently touring solo performing live PA set style electronic shows using his unique live rig which includes hammered dulcimer, laptop computer, mini-kit, sampler, sitar, electric kalimba and percussion.
When not playing music, you can find Janover connecting dots around the world in his extensive travels and collaborations in multiple creative realms including creating stunning images as a professional photographer, sculpture works using natural found objects and being an emissary for scientist Nassim Haramein of the Resonance Project, delivering fascinating presentations on the physics of unified field theory. Janover also produces music events including an annual electronic music festival in Colorado called SONIC BLOOM.

Late Night Radio
Hustling to make his mark in Denver, Colorado's electronic music melting pot, Late Night Radio is earning the respect of fans and peers alike through prolific production, innovative experimentation, and a dogged dedication to the craft. Alex Medellin has put in his time in the industry, coming up in Texas and California, but his ascension in the Colorado scene speaks to his ability to not only create a stunning array of original tracks, but bring them to life onstage, practicing what he preaches - guided by the mantra "emotion over energy."
Medellin's background in hip-hop is crucial to his development as a producer. Unlike some of his contemporaries who came up in the dance music scene, Late Night Radio keeps his cuts funky and inventive with an unshakable commitment to soulful grooves. Even when LNR breaks into high-energy, cabinet-rattling climaxes, the emotional depth remains. His wildly popular Vinyl Restoration series of old-school mixes has rooted his sound in deep, expressive sampling that keeps him firmly grounded in the lessons of the past, while reaching forward to craft his own signature sound.
A slew of collaborations, remixes and tour dates with notable acts are propelling Medellin's vision into new territories. Late Night Radio is poised to break out of the Centennial state, spreading the love to cities coast-to-cast and beyond as the LNR vision spreads. The forthcoming tour dates will be anchored by a powerful full-length album, Far Into the Night, slated for a mid-August release.

Denver, CO based live-electronic trio, The Malah, have been captivating ears across the country with their organic, electro grooves since 2003. Having recently relocated to the burgeoning music scene in Colorado, by way of Greenville, SC, The Malah have spent the last decade touring relentlessly, mastering their sound, and gaining a devout fan-base along the way.
In a scene where live-electronic music is running rampant, the Malah have managed to stand out by mixing rich, earthy atmospheres with electrifying rhythms. The trio explores the meeting point of cutting-edge technology and ancient musical theory. Creating a unique sound that is praised in both the “Jam” and “Electronica” communities. The music is constantly evolving and brings together influences from an endless array of genres including Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, World Beat, Trance, and Breakbeat with an effortless transition.
Truly a musical journey, every note is strategically placed with the utmost care; every melody finds its cosmic percussion partner in the sound space continuum. With a focus on layers and melody, bassist Elliott Vaughn provides a steady backdrop groove to compliment the axe wizardry of Brandon Maynard. With both members adding in carefully crafted beats and samples, the sound is met in a musical utopia by the explosive percussion of drummer Seth Fankhauser.
Skytree, aka Evan Snyder, started recording music at the age of 15, after the loan of a beaten Tascam tape deck cracked open the world of multi-track recording. Early "New Age" or synth-based albums by the likes of Tangerine Dream, as well as old pagan folk LPs from his parents' record collection provided an early and profound influence. In the years hence, the Skytree name has appeared alongside artists such as Lotus, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, Tipper, Bird of Prey, Excision and Bassnectar, among others, with many more to come. Skytree's newest album entitled "Crystal Consciousness" was released on 11.11.11.
"In relation to tranformation, the tree symbolizes the ascent of the mind, or awareness, from the "earth" of matter-nature-body to the "sky" of spirit-god-consciousness. Like trees were are "rooted in darkness and crowned with light": our being is grounded in the unconscious darkness of matter, grows and extends itself throughout life, and reaches upward into the "higher" realms of consciousness. The tree stands as the preeminent symbol of growth, renewal, and transformation."

Cualli is a Colorado based artist dedicated to making music that inspires. Cualli music eludes genre, each song telling a different story than the last. It cuts deep, utilizing ancient melodies blended with new sounds and possibilities. "My music is created with positive intention," says Aaron Holsapple, the 23 year old artist, "Cualli is an Aztec word for something which is inherently good and
I want my music to reflect that." Aaron is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer who infuses his studio work as well as live sets with guitar, keys, synths and sitar. He also plays with the band ReaLifeActual (RLA) and is now working on a collaborative project with Chris Cox, their first single "Global Deceleration" having been in the top 20 on Beatport's Glitch Hop charts for nearly five months reaching the number four spot at its highest. Cualli is also co-founder of and resident artist with both Audiowaska Productions and SOLRR and has performed alongside acts such as Nit Grit, Love and Light, Nasty Nasty, Dnae Beats, Mr. Rogers and many more.
Growing up in Denver Colorado, Aaron was inspired to say the least. Catching acts like SCI, STS9, Lotus, Ooah, The Dead, Zilla, Kanal and the Motet, he was given glimpses into the language of music. He discovered that it expressed truths which words could not. It was a language which could reflect the harmony of the cosmos and through the language of music, both artist and audience could form a collective consciousness which, reflected that same harmony. "Everything is music. From the tinniest particles to the biggest galaxies, everything has its own frequency, its own song which it sings with the entire cosmos. The amazing part is that it's in perfect harmony. My job is to express this through music" (Cualli). It was around the time of this discovery that Aaron bought his first laptop computer and started making music in Garage Band to play guitar solos over. Later that year he met Thomas Smith (Mezla, co-founder of SOLRR), who introduced him to Ableton and the world of electronic music production. For the next four years he balanced music with school, earning bachelors degrees in both philosophy and english. It was also durning this time that he met the painter Morgan Mandala who has been an immense inspiration and is his soon to be wife. Utilizing all that he has learned in his 23 years of his life, Cualli is now focusing all of his attention on helping to co-create the next level of electronic music.

Flora Sculptor/Dancer Anthony Ward is at the cutting edge of his art form. He is perhaps the only one on the planet combining the fine arts of Flora Arrangement and Dance as one offering. I just allow them to move through my hands into the vessel we are creating in". He adds "To me each Flower is already a masterpiece. I simply am honoring what is." In 2002 as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival, Anthony was asked to create a flora sculpture live on stage with Boby McFerrin (widely known for the song Don't Worry Be Happy). Singer/Activist Michael Franti was in the audience at Anthony's request. Franti said, "I was in tears the whole time Bobby and Anthony were on stage " He then asked Anthony to create on stage with Spearhead and he has created on stage with them many times since. Zach Velmer (Amazing drummer of STS9) was at a show where this happened. Feeling inspired he asked Anthony to create on stage with STS9. Anthony created to the delight of STS9 fans often for several years, including in Japan In 2007 when Anthony was asked to create with Music Producer Tipper for an STS9 after party. This was the first time he created on stage for a full set and this very potent experience led him to creating on stage in full sets several other times with Tipper and also with Flying Lotus, Random Rab, Bluetech, Desert Dwellers, Eskmo, Phuterprimative, Emancipator, OTT, Vibesquad, Eliot Lipp, Love and Light, Jpod, Starkey, Earth Cry, David Blocks' Human Experience with the amazing live digital art of Android Jones and 100 Waters.
