Last Empire Cartel
Last Empire Cartel hailing out of Phoenix, Arizona, is the newest Rap / Metal sensation to hit the scene.
This five-piece group has combined edgy hip-hip lyricism with infectious vocal melodies, raw metal riffs,
and hints of reggae and punk rock.
The group recorded their EP "The Uprising" with Larry Elyea of Mind's Eye Digital Recording Studios.
After production, Elyea said, "The combination works well; fresh and impressive."
While their recent studio accomplishment, "The Uprising", is gaining attention from hip-hop and rock
fans alike, their live shows have given the Phoenix music scene something to talk about.
LEC partnering with DJ Quick Draw of the Phoenix Coyotes and Arizona Cardinals wrote and
recorded "We Go Into It", one of the official Coyotes game songs.
Look to LEC finishing a full length album by Dec 2012; keep following on Twitter @LastMpir3carteL and
share the music. MUSIC is the LAST EMPIRE that we can overthrow and LEC is the CARTEL that intends to
Born out of the frustration with today's corporate rock, Whiskey Six sets itself apart by getting back to the basics- the way rock was meant to be...raw and powerful. Incorporating the styles of blues masters Robert Johnson, Skip James, and R.L. Burnside with today's intense energy, Whiskey Six is unapologetic for its' originality and style.
Frequis is a five piece rock band from Phoenix, AZ. Their
dark and sludgy sounds are reminiscent of grunge, metal and progressive rock, but the distinctive Frequis sound comes to life thru the use of noise, a powerful voice, a relentlessly driving rhythm section, dynamic guitar solos, and high octane live performances. Frequis has influences ranging from 90's grunge such as Alice and Chains, Sou...ndgarden and Nirvana to more progressive bands such as Dream Theater and Pink Floyd. The result is a bold new sound unlike anything you have heard before: dynamic songwriting containing soulful yet catchy melodies while still maintaing the fierceness and power of metal. Providing the fresh new face and voice to the band is singer/lyricist Cassie Aguiar, who fuses her operatically refined vocal prowess with a surge of post-metal screaming to command and captivate her audiences. The sound is complemented by the melodic, bluesy, yet tastefully technical lead guitar work of Chris Nastri. Brian Morris completes the Frequis sound with his clean, responsive playing and excellent sense of music and progression. Jared Johnson adds exciting melodic bass lines that bring skillful bass playing back to rock music, and underneath it all is Pete Czapiga's creative drum style which combines technical progressive drum beats with tribal melodic rhythms. Frequis hopes to bring creativity and risk back to the stale commercial rock scene that still lingers on.
