Michelle was on VH1 for 2 years hosting live coverage of such glamorous events as: The Grammy Awards, the Los Angeles premiere of Paramount’s Grease (anniversary re-release), Universal’s Blues Brothers 2000, and The Viewer’s Choice Awards to name a few. She is currently a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race on the LOGO Network which debuts it’s 3rd season in January.
This glamorous firecracker finished arts high school in South Plainfield, New Jersey at 17 and headed for the Big Apple to follow her dream of becoming an actress. To pay the bills, Michelle auditioned for her first gig, fresh out of college (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy), and landed it. It was a coveted spot in the all girl group Seduction, signed to A&M records in 1990. A year later, Michelle had a platinum-selling album with Seduction called “Nothing Matters Without Love”. The album spawned 4 top 10 hits, with their gold single “Two To Make It Right” going all the way to number 2! Michelle achieved drinking age while on an 8 month national tour with Milli Vanilli (when they were selling out 60,000 seat venues). Not bad for a beginner!
After Seduction ended, Michelle went back into the studio and wrote and sang the remake of Bill Withers’ “It’s Gonna Be A Lovely Day”, and the song was immediately signed to Arista Records by Clive Davis himself! The song was featured on Whitney Houston’s smash “The Bodyguard” soundtrack, which ultimately sold 35 million copies!
Even divas need day jobs, and the combo of her music and pop culture savvy, comedic timing and sass made her a natural for morning radio and for the past 15 years, that is where she has been all over the country! She started her morning radio career on New York City’s WKTU 103.5 co-hosting morning drive with legendary drag superstar RuPaul. She did mornings on KTU from 1996 until the end of 2001 when she left for Los Angeles and helmed morning drive there at KHHT (HOT 92.3) with co-host comedian Sinbad for 6 months until they decided to make a change and give the morning show to Michelle alone! Michelle remained on the air in LA for 3 years until NYC came calling again to kick off NY’s one and only classic dance radio station, MIX 102.7 (WNEW) where she stayed for 2 years hosting morning drive. She spent 4 years in West Palm Beach Florida on SUNNY 104.3 where she co-hosted morning drive. And the last year on MIA in Miami. She was on the air on SIRIUS satellite radio from 2003-2006 daily on 66 THE BEAT and Michelle was also the imaging voice on that channel as well. Additionally, (as if that is not enough) Michelle did a weekly entertainment report for 2FM Ireland Radio.
Rewind to 1981. Sequestered in the Iowa cornfields, a child is born to a single parent: a television. She's a bad girl. She discovers makeup—perhaps, too early. A high school dropout, she earns her diploma on the streets.
Fast-forward to 2004. A staple on the Pittsburgh nightlife scene, this underground celebrity captures the affection of the local media as a stupid genius, a reviled sweetheart, a PBR princess, a drag queen… ah…make that a Fag Punk. She's drop-dead dazzling. She thinks she's Amanda Lepore. She's more like Vampira.
Break through to 2012. Reality Television, she's there, exuding warmth, love, laughter, and… blood. A post-Warhol mannequin, this Queer icon is on two million television sets in America—brainless, brain-dead, brainy RuPaul alumni. With the look of a cover model and the soul of a shoe, she lives everyday as if it were Halloween…. or her last.
A bizarre cosmic collision propelled Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 to Earth in March 1966… and on to the fifth season of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race in January 2013. Still radioactive, no one knows who or what she is yet, but no one cares, as long as she never returns to her native planet. Her age and species remain unknown to the public, but a few of her enemies claim to hold copies of her spawning record and universal passport.
After her spaceship crashed in the Matanuska Valley, a remote part of south-central Alaska, the U.S. government recovered an emaciated… make that, an emancipated alien, with a 1972 issue of Vanity Fair and a can of Tab, or that’s how the story goes. Why she needed an Elmer’s glue stick, no one has determined. She refuses to acknowledge it was in her possession. Few believe the wreckage was really smoldering, since magazines tend to burn, and cynics wonder if she was actually held captive in a research facility, or entertained by the night watchman until he got bored with her in the 1980s. She’s supposedly on the run from officials, but everyone knows they take off their uniforms and sneak into the clubs where she performs. Some turned into groupies and hang around long after the shows are over.
A well-traveled, campy extraterrestrial does have her perks and her irritations. Transients and drifters are directed to the nearest black hole via her pre-screw-you GPS navigation, and drug-addled layabouts are allowed to create their own black holes. She promises to upload each and every one into the system. How dangerous can Thunderfuck be?
As dangerous as a black hole.
Watch this rare, magnificent being as she lights up televisions throughout the world on another of RuPaul’s extravaganzas. No, you won’t end up a cancer-stricken lab rat. The screen acts as a radiation shield to protect you from this renegade.
Willam crossdresses a lot. His first major overlooking was as Cherry Peck on Nip/Tuck for 5 episodes, Stifler’s she-male in American Wedding & the tranny in the pre-Broadway runs of Rock of Ages-all in 2005. Hobbies include listing his credits like to make himself feel better about the aforementioned crossdressing. TV: The New Normal, Southland, CSI:NY, Saved, Cold Case, The Shield, Criminal Minds, Women’s Murder Club, The Forgotten, HDNet's Svetlana, Comedy Central's Nick Swarsdon's Pretend Time & American Body Shop, My Name is Earl, Boston Public, recurring on The District, CSI. (Can you tell he gets beat on cop shows a lot?) FILM: Because I Said So, Bloodrayne 3, Blubberella, Candy Darling in HBO’s Cinema Verite. He was infamously disqualified from RuPaul's Drag Race for doing things with his mouth he shouldn't have but was fan favoritey enough to land on RuPaul's Drag U as a makeover professor the following season. The show's network LOGO created a position for Willam as their red carpet corespondent which Willam unofficially retitled as their official Whorespondent. He continued his styling schtick on Magical Elves' show Willam's Beatdown and Transfashionable. Basically, He will do anything for money and/or parking validation. Find him on twitter @Willambelli. Hopefully he will be verified by the time you read this.
Fierce and foulmouthed, Detox resides in Los Angeles, and has the Hollywood resume to show for it. When she's not starring in Rihanna music videos or recording singles with Ke$ha, she's showcasing her formidable, signature lip-synch as part of Chad Michaels' legendary Dreamgirls Revue and her own show Pumped in West Hollywood. Detox is starring on
RuPaul's Drag Race most recent season and your television thanks you for it.
She is currently seeking treatment for an addiction to cosmetics and cock. Find her on twitter @TheOnlyDetox (or your local clinic).
Manila Luzon is the Asian Glamasaurus whose fashion & beauty garner the attention of everyone in the room. A party girl at heart, Manila is found all over the New York City club scene in some outrageous creations: kimonos made of Ramen Noodle wrappers, or in some fierce drag such as sequined gowns. A staple to the City's nightlife for the last six years, you know it's a worthwhile party if this bitch pumps through with a half dozen stuffed Hello Kittys in her updo.
Celebrating her Filipino background, Manila is named after the capital of the Philippines. Additionally, her last name comes from the Philippine island, Luzon.
Originally from Minneapolis, Manila began on the stage of The Gay 90s. Soon after a fresh-faced start, she moved to New York City. Never one to shy away from attention, Manila began to cultivate unique looks that made riding the subway from her apartment in the Bronx a visual all-you-can-eat-buffet!
The better half of NYC's power drag lesbian duo, Manila Luzon has been dating the infamous Sahara Davenport from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 2 for years and years! The two are usually seen together at the gayest of spots holding each other's hands and each other's drinks! The couple was even featured in the New York Times "What Happens When Drag Queens Date Drag Queens."
Manila is the 1st runner-up on the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race and recently a Drag Professor on RuPaul's Drag U on LOGO. She released her debut hit single "Hot Couture" co-written and produced by Grammy Award winning producers of KNS Productions (Britney Spears, Lady Gaga).
Drag queen, actor, comedian, recording artist, writer Pandora Boxx is best known as a contestant on the smash hit RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 2) on Logo and VH1. Despite not winning, Pandora proved to be the break-out star and was named by Entertainment Weekly “as their America’s Next Drag Superstar.” EW.com saying that it was “the most controversial elimination of the season.” Fans voted Pandora “Miss Congeniality” of the show, winning by “a landslide.” That popularity lead to becoming a drag professor on the spin-off show called RuPaul’s Drag U (Season 1 – 3) for which she was voted MVP by fans of the show. Pandora returned to the Drag Race stage for RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars only to be eliminated in another controversial exit. Pandora hosted the all drag queen comedy show, One Night Stand Up: Dragtastic NYC which also aired on Logo. Pandora starred in her own GLAAD award winning Absolut ‘Cocktail Cabaret’ commercials, opened for Leann Rimes and Chely Wright, performed with Roseanne Barr at Uncabaret, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC), Jeffrey & Cole Casserole (Logo), Clip of the Week on The Soup (Comedy Central), LogoTV.com’s Drag Center and NBC’s Are You There, Chelsea? In 2011, Pandora added recording artist to the list releasing the song Cooter! which reached 56 on the iTunes dance chart. Following up on that success she released a follow up single Nice Car! (Shame About Your Penis) in October 2012 which reached the top 100 in the iTunes dance sales chart. Currently, Pandora is a writer for the new Gay Voices section of the Huffington Post.
Pandora is also the creator, writer and star of the public access/internet show The GAY (means happy) SHOW! (youtube.com/gayshow)! Pandora’s credits run the gamut of media, including stage (Steel Magnolias in the role of Annelle), screen (A Voice from the Lantern in the role of Marvelous Marvin) and television (VH1′s drag documentary Boys Will Be Girls) as well as having work featured in several film festivals like the ImageOut Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the Berkeley Film and Video Festival (receiving two honorable mentions). Most recently Pandora produced, starred in and wrote the hit play “The Lipstick Massacre,” a comedic murder mystery. The play premiered at Rochester’s MUCCC (www.muccc.org) to four sold out shows which prompted its return several months later to the prestigious Geva Theatre Center, also in Rochester, to rave reviews.
Pandora continues to tour the world spreading glitter, humor and fabulosity to the masses.
