OF THE PAINTED CHOIR
Of the Painted Choir bring their infection brand of nostalgic rock to the valley of the sun. A new branch from the Tugboat tree, OTPC is guaranteed to provide the same sort of addictive fruit from whence their branches grew. Their debut EP "Lula," only a month old, has contributed well to our music community and makes the Sonoran desert feel and sound lush.
"It seemed that Northern Hustle appeared out of nowhere. One day I had never heard of them, the next everyone seemed to be talking about them. They were playing shows everywhere, getting radio airplay in the UK and they crushed their Kickstarter campaign to fund their album in a mere three days." - Sounds Around Town
Norther Hustle, named one of the 'Top 10 Bands To Know in AZ' (Independent Music News, UK) and one of the '8 Arizona Bands That Should Be Famous' (Phoenix New Times), is gearing up to present the second installment of their three part concept album series, 'WAVESON'. After just releasing the first installment of their series in September of 2013, the band quickly went from playing backyards to getting airplay rotation both locally and internationally, as well as earning a feature spot on NPR. The band will now be saying goodbye to "FORGETHER", the album JAVA Magazine called "..Clearly one of the best debuts of the year", and presenting 'WAVESON' for only one night before taking a hiatus to record the album.
Northern Hustle will be joined by "The Southern Spirit Revival", an extension of the band specifically crafted for the recording and performance of "WAVESON", featuring Janna McCluskey (Where Are All The Buffalo?, The Balcony Scene), Justin James (Instructions, Petty Things) and Joshua Hill (The Hill In Mind).
