Elizabeth Hainen, principal harpist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and internationally acclaimed soloist, performs works from her newest album in this Halloween brunch concert, presented by music nonprofit LiveConnections. Works include Debussy “Danses” and Caplet “The Mask of the Red Death” and feature a quartet of Philadelphia Orchestra musicians: Amy Oshiro-Morales, violin; Daniel Han, violin; Anna Marie Petersen, viola; and Yumi Kendall, cello. Storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston will make a special guest appearance reciting Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Mask of the Red Death.” Spooky!
Since 2008, LiveConnections has served as a creator and curator of innovative music experiences. Our ClassicAlive concert series expands how classical music is experienced by breaking boundaries of repertoire, collaboration and atmosphere. For more information, visit http://liveconnections.org.
