King Washington (record release)
Despite tumultuous times and something of an extended hiatus from performing and recording at the end of 2012, King Washington are set to bring their incredibly kinetic and diverse sound back to the masses. Armed and ready with new tunes and a wildly dedicated fan base, King Washington is comprised of Tyson Kelly (Rhythm Guitarist/Vocalist), George Krikes (Guitarist/Vocalist), Billy Lee (Bass) and Lucas Ventura (Drums). Music lovers and critic's alike are consistently impressed by King Washington's compelling musical integrity, pitch-perfect harmonies, and gritty yet infectious musical compositions. On their critically acclaimed debut album, "The Gears," the band worked with Grammy Award winning producer Joe Puerta (Ambrosia, Bruce Hornsby and the Range) for a cross-generational project that's become a quintessential music must-have. "In an ideal world, King Washington would be topping the charts with The Gears. Highly melodic and intellectual without isolating the listener" (7BitArcade.com).
Their explosive charisma and vintage melodic songs are built on heavy handed instrumentation that only grow more impressive in a live setting. They set the room on fire song after song, allowing their infectious sound to ear-worm its way into your mind, with music that is as inspiring as it is addictive. There's no better way to return to the music scene then by reminding fans of the very reason they fell in love with King Washington in the first place; undeniable talent and music that is expertly crafted by truly immersive and determined musicians.

Because not rocking is for suckers.
If you don't think a ukulele and hip hop mix well together, you've obviously never heard the evolved beats of Magnastic. This band is not magnificent or fantastic, but Magnastic in their own right. These guys from the heart of the valley, Woodland Hills, California, truly possess their own sound, combining a humorous element to their bass, guitar, and ukulele playing skills. In their own words they are, "two madmen marinating in a fountain of genius."
Influences like Tenacious D, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queen, Dr. Dre, The Beach Boys, friends, and lovers, have all had a hand in their music. They have reached a level of music that is at the point of de-labelization, ranging from categories of funk, rock, hip hop, acoustic, blues, doo-wop, electronica, and a touch of island music thanks to Byron's ukulele.
The band had a rough start, as the original five members parted ways after a period of individual hardships occurred. Jeff and Byron were able to reconvene after a few years to formulate their musical ideas and talents into what they wanted to be, "perfect for us and our friends, something people all over can give a listen to. Kind of like a sort of underground musical ceremony."
In late 2011 the duo was joined by Matt Barrecca on drums and Matt Shlapak on Keyboard/bass. The band will be recording their first studio EP which will be released march 2013. Until then you can enjoy their live shows including an impressive catalog of over 40 songs.
