Odd Owl @ The Back Bar

Seattle, WA, 98121
This event is all ages
Odd Owl, an indie band from San Francisco, is a group that came together from all walks of life to create some very unusual pop. With a sound "centered around Carmen Caruso’s pristine female-fronting and cushioned by keyboard coos, funk hooks and buoyant drumming” [Justine Fields, SF Deli], Odd Owl is able to “produce some incredible new era indie music” [Br00d, Neighbors Hate Us].
The Gloria Darlings
The Gloria Darlings, Pandi and Milly, are a Seattle-based female folk-grass duo. An innovative string band like nothing ever seen or heard, they sing bright, vibrant, vocal harmonies to outstanding instrumentation. These young ladies are multi-instrumentalists with a strong focus on fiddle and guitar. Often called sirens, their catchy original tunes weave through the crowd. Definitely a band to watch; the tour de force harmony and energy gets every crowd smiling, singing along and toe tapping.
Their deep well of repertoire is full of original tunes, traditionals, and folksy renditions of popular songs. The GDs style is strongly rooted in Bluegrass Tradition and Early Country. The Gloria Darlings appear frequently at folk and bluegrass festivals and venues across the country. A unique little act with a big crowd-pleasing sound!

Susy Sun is a classically-trained pianist and
singer/songwriter from the Pacific Northwest.
She performs piano compositions with a sweet voice
which contradicts her e dgy, honest lyrics. Often
accompanied by a full band, the result is a strong, sultry
sound that demands your attention and makes for playful
live shows that mesmerize audiences everywhere.
Her childhood was filled with music lessons. By her
teens she was already an accomplished classical pianist,
writing her own lyrics to accompany her original
compositions. Infused with honest accounts of her
personal experiences, the combination of her piano
sounds and lyrics demonstrate a deep connection to the
earth, and a playful, free spirit that loves to roam it.
Aside from exploring her own N ative A merican and
Swedish culture, Susy Sun has taught music in London,
worked at a farm in Greece, and studied Spanish in
Spain. Her travels confirmed that she would never be
content brushing off her musical dreams, and after a few
years of cubicle life, she dropped the corporate world to
pursue her biggest passion.
Appropriately titled, Wanderlust (Fall 2013) is her
second album. E ngineered by Shawn Simmons, (The
Head and The Heart, Lemolo, and The Maldives),
Wanderlust features the Passenger String Quartet, led by
Andrew Joslyn (Macklemore, Duff Mckagan, Mark
Lanegan, Kris Orlowski), resulting in a riveting chamber
pop sound that has captured audiences of all genres and
