Over the past decade, Ben Kweller has established himself as one of the nation’s most treasured songwriters and performers. His magnetic live shows and Grammy nominated collection of studio albums has earned him a die-hard, almost cult-like, global fanbase numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Kweller’s genre-jumping blend of Alt Rock, Piano Ballads and Folk Music has captured the hearts of music critics going all the way back to his 2002 debut, Sha Sha. In 2012, Kweller released his fifth LP, Go Fly A Kite, on his very own Austin-based record label, The Noise Company, which pushed his discography over the half a million mark in sales. There is no doubt that Kweller’s career has been driven by his unsettled creative spirit and compulsion to move where the wind takes him. Through all of his twists and turns, however, the one special constant that remains is his authenticity. Whether or not he’s playing guitar or piano, with a band or all alone, stripped down or built up, the emotional result is always the same; 100% pure, Ben Kweller.
"Let’s start by saying Mahgeetah’s first full-length album Heavy Baby doesn’t qualify as your typical SF indie scene staple. Beginning with a single interval on a B3 organ—or a B3 imposture—and ending with a classic blues-rock jam, the album is truck stop music’s sensitive cousin who went off to college, but still gets nostalgic for his blues and folk rock roots. It would gladly trade your Bay Area reverb for a little distortion any day. Heavy Baby draws on influences like Dr. Dog and Wilco as a compass, but ventures into territory of its own. It is constructed of propulsive rhythms with easy riding guitars, and furnished with Cat Stevens-like electric piano riffs with soulful, staccato vocals that call to mind Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Wolf Parade’s Spencer Krug." - The Deli Magazine
"If you know where the band’s name comes from, then the answer is “Yes, you probably will like Mahgeetah” (if you don’t get the reference, keep reading). Mahgeetah is ready to take their amped-up spin on classic Americana to the masses" - The Bay Bridged

Bonnie and the BANG BANG
"The Summer of 2013 has seen the arrival of Bonnie & the BANG BANG as big time players in the SF music scene. The Bay Area's premier aggressive indie-folk outfit has been on some of the Summer's biggest stages, including BottleRock Napa Valley, Live105's BFD, and a set at the America's Cup Pavilion. Now they are back from their two week West coast tour and are gearing up to release their new album, The Dark Dream. Bonnie blends masterful song writing with a powerful live performance designed to mesmerize."
