Boxcutter [Planet Mu]

Boxcutter [Planet Mu]

Barry Lynn is from Lurgan, co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. He started sending me "drill'n'bass" demos back in 2002 (I think) but they soon started to have a big uk garage/2-step influence which i was into at the time. After his release on Hotflush, we released his debut album Oneiric and the Tauhid ep both of which are the toast of the scene. etc.

Enoe [Rudiimentary Records]

Enoe is one half of the production duo Background Sound, with releases on Join the Dots and more recently on the Percussion Lab 'Cambio' compilation. The Vinyl will feature Do Em Dirty and Top Billin, two varied slices of bumpin' music that stand out on their own as a unique evolution of the classic House sound. On the "Shortage EP" Enoe takes a different direciton with a fresh blend of low end house / garage creations, with a deep reflective feel.

No stranger to NYC's underground music scene, Enoe aims to become a new addition to the artists known for pushing boundaries. Since emerging on the scene in late 2007, his knowledge and love for music allowed him to play a huge variation of events in his hometown's hot spots. Bringing crowds together with classic hits from Disco, Oldskool Hip Hop, to House. All of which he was exposed to at a very young age by two of the most influential music enthusiast in his life, his older brother and father.

Seafloor (Astro Nautico)

Archie Pelago [Percussion Lab / Mister Saturday Night]

Archie Pelago is a live/production outfit emphasizing the fusion of instrumental textures and experimental beat landscapes. The Brooklyn-based trio is comprised of Cosmo D (cello/ableton wizard), Kroba (sax/fx) and Hirshi (dj/trumpet). Joining forces in late summer of 2010, Archie Pelago has been committed to producing powerful tunes inspired by contemporary bass music culture. Combining an electronic method with their unmistakable chamber approach, when the three guys get in a room together, magic happens-- with their productions and groundbreaking live experience. Having played with the likes of Shigeto, Ben UFO, Oneman, XI, Wheez-ie and more, Archie's unique live set has been praised for balancing their original music with live remixes of their favorite dance jams. Reeling off of their recent single released on Car Crash Set, Archie is poised to be dropping several original releases and remixes in 2012 including their unmistakable re-work of Distal and HxdB's "Booyant", out in January on the venerable Tectonic imprint.
