August Singer Songwriter Showcase
Gable's Singer Songwriter Showcase is an ongoing monthly show in the upstairs of World Cafe Live at the Queen that puts six artists together to play two 15 minute sets of original material. Beautiful listening room experience, wonderful way to discover new favorite artists.
Adam Beck, Adrian Dickey, Charlie Bell, Lydia Rene, Paul St. John, and Tommy McIntyre
Ben O'Neill is a Grammy nominated artist who has been the sideman to Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Common, Kid Cudi and many more. On his debut album, Ghosts and Green Shoots, he comes front-and-center with a melodically rich and tunefully diverse effort that displays his talents as a gifted guitarist and fearless vocalist.
Following the critical acclaim of his 2007 debut release,” Watch Me Burn”, singer/songwriter Chris Bruni is out on his own this time around with his sophomore effort, “I’ve Been Here”, a fully fan-funded album. With the confidence provided by the success of his first effort, Chris decided to take more control of his career as an emerging artist and release this new collection of songs using a completely DIY approach. After two years of heavy touring and an obvious connection with a newfound fan base, Chris found himself with the need for new music
Jerzy Jung is a singer/songwriter/pianist who grew up in Southern NJ. She is known for her passionate live performance, and for exploring themes of body image, addiction, love, and fear in her lyrics. In 2011 she was a semifinalist in the Pop Song category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and her songs have been heard on MTV's True Life, Gone Too Far, and Teen Mom 2.
Joe Trainor has been a mainstay on the Delaware music scene for many, many...many years, but most recently fronting the original rock-piano band The Joe Trainor Trio. When not doing that, he works with City Theater Company, teaches piano, walks dogs, eats at Lucky's, watches Doctor Who with Kerry and plays PS3. But really, he's usually playing with the Trio...and will be again on August 3rd at 1984. And in September you can see him fronting the band In The Light, who will be performing an evening of the music of Queen, right down stairs (at WCL) on September 13.
Mia Bergmann is a 17 year old up and coming Singer/Songwriter with an unbelievable passion for music! She has been singing and acting since 2006 in local plays having leading roles in Number the Stars and Once Upon a Mattress. Mia attended IMTA in January of 2010 in Los Angeles, CA where she won awards for TV Beauty, Ready for my Close-Up, Young Miss Model of the Year, Team Singing, Team Dance, Monologue, Swimsuit & TV Real People.
