Warren Sonbert Retrospective

Warren Sonbert (1947-1995) was one of the seminal figures working in American underground cinema. His passionate interest in film, classical music, experimental poetry, and travel is reflected in his films. Although Sonbert lived in San Francisco since the early 1970s, he spent much time in New York and traveled frequently, making personal appearances at showings of his works at film festivals, museums, cinematheques and other leading cultural institutions worldwide.
