Clara's music can best be described as a synergy of folk/pop/rock that when blended together creates a unique experience. She has performed at renowned venues such as The White House Dept. of Education, Hollywood Bowl, Shrine Auditorium and more where she performed for crowds of up to 18,000 people. In a little over a year Clara has released her debut album, The Art In My Heart, performed live in front of an estimated 70,000 people in 2011, received music placements on multiple national commercials, movies and on TV networks such as Showtime, ABC Family, MTV, and completed 2 sold out tours throughout the US, Canada and Asia. Clara's sophomore album will be released in September 2012 and will be produced by Raymond Richards (Local Natives).
Aijia was born and bred in Los Angeles by a family of musicians and entertainers. While most people waited until their high school or college graduations to make the trek to the entertainment capital, she had already been exposed to late night jam sessions, songwriting and had a front row seat to some of the best live music in the world. Her family owned one of the hippest music venues in the city, and she was often found with a coloring book in the back of the bar, while acts like The Chili Peppers and Madonna took the stage. Her own piano-based songwriting style is reminiscent of Jackson 5 soul, Alicia Keys melodic lines, and topped off with a Sara Bareilles lyrical twist. She has shared the stage with Bruno Mars, Jack Black, Hilary Duff, Andy Grammer, Colbie Caillat and many others.
