Percussion Lab x TURRBOTAX w → Archie Pelago (live), Cromie & Sage Caswell [✈]

Archie Pelago [Percussion Lab / Mister Saturday Night]

Archie Pelago is a live/production outfit emphasizing the fusion of instrumental textures and experimental beat landscapes. The Brooklyn-based trio is comprised of Cosmo D (cello/ableton wizard), Kroba (sax/fx) and Hirshi (dj/trumpet). Joining forces in late summer of 2010, Archie Pelago has been committed to producing powerful tunes inspired by contemporary bass music culture. Combining an electronic method with their unmistakable chamber approach, when the three guys get in a room together, magic happens-- with their productions and groundbreaking live experience. Having played with the likes of Shigeto, Ben UFO, Oneman, XI, Wheez-ie and more, Archie's unique live set has been praised for balancing their original music with live remixes of their favorite dance jams. Reeling off of their recent single released on Car Crash Set, Archie is poised to be dropping several original releases and remixes in 2012 including their unmistakable re-work of Distal and HxdB's "Booyant", out in January on the venerable Tectonic imprint.

Sage Caswell

Ascending Los Angeles producer Sage Caswell follows up his widely received debut on NY label Peach with a 12'' on Decabaret. While Caswell's first release was a collaboration with fellow LA upstart Cromie, "Tribute 2 CC Archer" marks the young producer's first solo release with three late night house tracks. While Caswell's latest jams in "Tribute 2 CC Archer" are dancefloor-intended and heavy on the beat, his growth as an artist shines though with a unique, headier approach to house music while maintaining his steadily defined trademark sound.

Braille (Friends of Friends)

Braille is better known as Praveen, who forms Sepalcure together with Machinedrum. He uses this new alias for his house orientated output, mixing influences from Chicago, Detroit and the UK effortlessly. His debut release on Rush Hour, "The Year 3000", ships April 25th.

REM KOOLHAUS (TURRBOTAX® / Peach)

Tim Saputo is better known as a resident of Brooklyn’s own TURRBOTAX® parties. A staple in the neighborhood for the last few years, these parties have always delivered when it comes to futuristic techno, house and bass music. RemKoolhaus is a veteran himself, as a former creative director for XLR8R magazine, he’s helped in curating impeccable lineups and even designing all the artwork for TURRBOTAX®. Tim’s recent mixes for Opening Ceremony and Percussion Lab range all over as well. Whether it’s jacking, rhythmic house or the smooth and deep variety, KoolHaus has it covered.

Nooka Jones

Brooklyn-based, Hoosier-bred Nooka Jones is a DJ rooted in emotion and dancing. No regard for stereotypes or trends, he glides between house, disco, techno and beyond with ease. His parties range in venues, but his vibe never does-- always soulful and introspective, with a heavy lean on the groove. Nooka holds down the residency at Brookyln's eclectic Percussion Lab as well as a newly developed Thursday weekly at Cameo Lounge. While playing with Pearson Sound, Scuba and Francois K are some of Nooka's more notable moments, his late afternoon jaunts in SF's Mission Dolores Park and yearly stints at Boston's Together Festival rank among his favorite gigs.
