White Glove Service
From San Diego to the Bay The White Glove Service has been revealing their creativity to California. There is passion instilled in every aspect of their sound. Each member brings a unique flavor to this medicine we call music. WGS faithfuls have witnessed them killing stages with national acts including Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Fortunate Youth, and Dub Seeds. No city is left disappointed when these four take the stage. With an album right around the corner and an impressive live performance, look out for White Glove.
In late 2010 the road began. Four strong opinions and four wildly different musical ideas collided. Guitarist Aaron Kipper and Bassist Stilz Stoudmire grew up in Fresno California. Their rhythmic and melodic compositions can be soothing and sweet or undeniably intense. Drummer Clayton Kraus took the long road to Fresno from Birmingham Alabama bringing progressive and driving beats. Singer Jacob Caswell moved to California from Seattle in 2008 but didn't meet the guys until November two years later. Lyrics and soul...
All lovers of Reggae, Ska, Punk, Rock, Ska, Dub and any good music in general can appreciate what these guys are doing. Things are only looking up for...
"Formed in 2010 in the Central San Joaquin Valley (California), Irie Sun is a group committed to spreading a positive message through conscious Latin Roots Reggae music. Their unique sound was developed from a mixture of each member's personal musical influences which range from Roots Reggae music of the 60s and 70s, modern South American Reggae, and the traditional music of Mexico. In the last year Irie Sun has continued to grow their audience by performing at Hollywood's House of Blues and throughout California. They have opened for Reggae legends The Abyssinians, Barrington Levy, and The Mighty Diamonds as well as popular Reggae group, SOJA and Latin Reggae artist, Alika."
In a simpler time, before Facebook, Twitter and cell phones, five special newborns were shat from their mother's wombs with a force and fury greater than any womb has ever seen. Stampeding through the cervix upon regal chariots and majestic white steeds, these children quickly developed into adulthood where they finally realized their divine purpose. To draw influence from reggae, rock, and hip-hop to create a new sound. Banded together throughout their journey to find this one of a kind sound, they resolved to simply refer to themselves as "UpRooted," and made it their goal to melt faces across the U.S.!
After their official formation in 2009, UpRooted has quickly broadened their fan base all throughout Los Angeles, San Diego, and parts of Northern California. Their live show brings an infectious energy that is unmatched while performing a dynamic set that's sure to get their crowd singing and dancing along! While bound by a love of music, friendship and unity is UpRooted's driving force and source of inspiration. The band's front men, Casey Goode and Jonathan Lane, compose vocal melodies and rap verses that reflect a lyrical and rhythmic technicality unique to traditional reggae and hip-hop acts. Lead Guitarist, Eric Montgomery, masterfully layers thematically ingenious rifts, contributing a caliber of musicality that would be impressive to any listener while Tim Lawrence lays down tasty bass lines, ranging from smooth to slap. In 2011, former lead vocalist of the "Natives of a New Dawn," Tony Nouhan, joined UpRooted on the drums, taking the band to a whole other level.
Today, it seems that skies are the limit for UpRooted as they continue to grow their fan base by the day. Their first EP, recorded at the Den Recorders in Pasadena, CA, officially releases on iTunes in July of 2011 and is expected to be very well received. They can be seen performing at a variety of venues in Los Angeles and up and down the beautiful California coast. While they were born and raised in California's San Fernando Valley (except for Tony…he was born in Michigan and consequently ruined the little "theme" they had going), they have love in their hearts for the entire world and hope to circulate their sound to listeners everywhere!
Danielle Rondero is coming into her own. A San Francisco-bay area native, Danielle has spent the past few years fronting one of Fresno's most popular ska bands (King Sugar), recently forming a powerhouse Amy Winehouse tribute group (Back To Black), and collaborating with an array of renowned Valley musicians. Now, the dynamic vocalist is branching out into performing as a solo artist with a backing band featuring a rotating selection of some of Fresno's finest talents, and developing original material of her own. With a wide range of influences both old & new - from Motown to reggae; rock to hip hop; even pop to country - Danielle puts her own soulful touch on each song and performance, and will leave an impression on your both your ears and your heart.
