Irationâs Automatic Tour

The islands of Hawaii are not only the biggest influence on Iration's sound they are home to all of its members. Iration was born from a love of all types of music and a desire to create something new. Elements of Reggae, Rock, and Pop are mixed with keyboard/synth and melodic vocal lines to create something truly unique. Iration is best heard in a live setting where you can truly experience the full spectrum of their range. They have proven to truly have an understanding of modern and traditional performance techniques that keep crowds of fans', both younger and older, hands in the air and heads bobbing, along with those females' hips gyrating. These Hawaiian raised naturally talented musicians look forward to spreading their original sound, aloha spirit, and cutting edge (surf) culture as far as possible and will continue to make original music.

In 2007, they recorded and released their first full length album, No Time for Rest, at Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura, Ca, which featured one of the last recorded performances by reggae legend Mikey Dread, who produced accomplished musicians such as The Clash and UB40. Their single "Cookie Jar" reached number one in Hawaii on 93.9 DaBeat and was featured on Fuel TV's Triple Crown of Surfing recap. Their music was also featured on MTV shows Maui Fever and Living Lahaina.

In the spring of 2008, Iration embarked on a national tour titled "Playboys in Paradise" in support of the band Pepper. They traveled 16,000 miles and played in front of numerous sold out crowds at venues such as famed Stubb's BBQ in Austin, House of Blues Dallas, Myrtle Beach, and Orlando. They continue to tour extensively and look forward to bringing their sound to even larger audiences as they have playing shows such as "West Beach Music Festival" with legends Ziggy Marly and George Clinton, along with Jason Mraz, in Santa Barbara and "Back to School Orientation" with Sean Kingston and Shwayze in San Luis Obispo. On October 3, 2008, Iration officially released their latest collection of recordings on their SAMPLE THIS EP – Sample This, is a four song EP featuring two songs, "I'm With You" and "Electricity," which were co-written with a fellow local Hawaiian musician, songwriter, and Grammy winning producer Charles Brotman of Hawaiian recoding company Palm Records. The EP also features their new smash hit "Falling," which has already been added to several radio stations in Hawaii and Guam – as well as rising favorite, "Wait and See." These few tracks have a newly focused emphasis on capturing a popular sound along with their norm rock-reggae feeling. The Sample This EP debuted at 3 on iTunes top reggae albums - "Falling" was the 22 top reggae song on iTunes as of October 7, 2008 and 28 as of Dec 1, 2008. It was released by Michael Harlan music distribution through INgrooves. Iration has been Myspace's #1 top unsigned reggae artists for almost all of 2009. KUCD, Hawaii's alternative music station added "Falling" which peaked at #3 in November 2008. "Falling" currently has over three and a half million plays on Myspace, Iration has over seven and a half million.

In 2009, "Falling" was added to Santa Barbara's modern rock station, KJEE FM, and begun to receive specialty plays on XTRA FM, San Diego's alternative rock station 91X (as well as No Time For Rest's "Cookie Jar"). In the beginning of '09, Iration accomplished sell out shows at San Luis Obispo's Down Town Brew, West Hollywood's famed the Roxy Theater several times, and San Diego's House of Blues with over a thousand in attendance. Iration also performed at KJEE's Summer Round UP at the Santa Barbara Bowl with radio's hottest band, Kings of Leon, and The Airborne Toxic Event – as well as headlining San Luis Obispo's annual Beer Fest at Avila Beach before heading back to the studio to finish their Time Bomb album. The second half of 2009 was all about touring. Iration kicked of their summer touring in August by supporting the band Rebelution's national "Bright Side of Life Tour," spanning from San Diego to New York to Dallas. In the fall they performed at Los Angeles' Sunset Strip Music Festival, headlined San Diego's Paddle for Clean Water Festival presented by 91X FM, and supported Pepper's national "In the Trenches Tour," leading them from California all the way to back to New York. Iration continued touring through the fall supporting 11 dates with jam band legends Umphrey's McGee. They will ended the year with four very special California headlining dates at House of Blues San Diego, House of Blues Anaheim, San Luis Obispo's Downtown Brew, and San Francisco's famed Great American Music Hall.

For Iration, 2010 started off with big bang! By supporting 47 shows in 52 days on The Expendables' "Winter Black Out Tour," the Hawaiian bread boys proved they could hang touring even tin he harshest of conditions. On March 9, Iration released their highly anticipated album Time Bomb via an iTunes exclusive one week pre-release, at which time peaked at #40 on iTunes' music chart, and "Falling" was iTunes' "Discovery Download" of the week. Time Bomb is currently #1 on the iTunes reggae music chart (as of 3/11) and the title track "Time Bomb" has been as has high as #12 on the iTunes reggae single chart. "Get Back to Me," "Turn Around," and "Dream" have also been favorites maintaining their positions in the top fifty songs on the iTunes reggae singles chart (as of 3/11). Micah Brown

Micah Brown's music derives from the blues, rock-n-roll, and outlaw country that drenched the garage while wrenching with dad growing up. Micah has quickly made his ever-broadening audience take notice of his brash and unique, dexterous way around a fretboard. He's also become known for his milky smooth, deft command of his voice, using it to express passion, emotion, and positive inspiration.

Amongst his peers, the recognition has included 2012 & 2013 "Best Folk Winner" and 2011 "Best Live Acoustic Winner" the past three years at the Orange County Music Awards in Anaheim, CA. Micah is also a two-time Pier Award nominee.

Micah's sophomore release, 'The Isle of Her' has received multiple Album of the year nominations, quickly garnering an underground following of passionate, grass-roots fans.

"Brown definitely has a deeply ingrained star quality that is evident to all of his loyal fans." (Nadia Noir - KROQ.com)

Over the past 18 months, Micah had the enormous honor of playing shows with a variety of renowned bands. He joined the Dirty Heads for appearances at the 2012 KROQ Weenie Roast and SmokeOut Festival, alongside legends such as Coldplay, Incubus, Pennywise, The Offspring, and Sublime with Rome.

Micah's solo career included performances at Doheny Days, SxSW in Austin, and California Roots Festival last year, on billings with Weezer, Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, CAKE, Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love, SOJA, The Expendables, Iration, and many more.

"Micah Brown is an avid player in putting Orange County on the map as an acclaimed music haven. He is a singer-songwriter who never disappoints with his unique approach to folk and blues." (Ben Kashuk, unEARTH Music Hub)

Micah blends rootsy americana, folk, and blues, with rock, soul, and even a little reggae thrown in for good measure. He can perform a standout acoustic solo set, or bring the band along to create a more full, driving musical force on stage, which features his platinum-award-winning engineer/producer Lewis Richards and professional surfer/violinist Jennifer Argenti.

"Although Brown has a modern, almost-folksy vocal styling, he balances out the well-pitched cool of his voice with scorching-hot guitar riffs reminiscent of Delta Blues greats Robert Johnson or John Lee Hooker." (Noir/KROQ)

On the heels of a critically-acclaimed full-length release and two North American tours, Micah has been busy in the studio working on new material, preparing for a new release and more U.S. tour dates later this summer and fall.

Both of Micah's albums were conceived at 17th Street Recording Studio, where they received a dose of pop-surf-tinged production from Richards. "The Isle of Her", released this past August, and his debut EP release, "Down Like Hail", are available digitally everywhere.

Brown has been turning heads and drawing lofty comparisons on the heels of his debut release "Down Like Hail" in January, and is creating quite a restive anticipation of what's to come next.

His latest accomplishment would be taking home the 2011 OC Music Awards Best Acoustic title this February.

"Brown definitely has a deeply ingrained star quality that is evident to all of his loyal fans. No matter what Brown decides to do with his music, I have a feeling he is going to be hugely successful." (Nadia Noir - kroq.com)

Micah's music blends his early influences of blues and folk and fluidly invokes the sounds of SoCal that he was raised amongst and combines them with his love for Americana to create a unique, fresh, eclectic twist on the singer-songwriter sound.

"Although Brown has a modern, almost-folksy vocal styling, he balances out the well-pitched cool of his voice with scorching-hot guitar riffs reminiscent of Delta Blues greats Robert Johnson or John Lee Hooker." (kroq.com)

Micah co-produces and releases his solo project of original music with producer Lewis Richards (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads) from 17th Street Recording Studios in Costa Mesa. Mature beyond his years, Micah is an old soul and it is apparent in his heartfelt, genuine music, made for no better reason then to evoke a feeling and invite people into the moment. When Micah's feeling it, everyone's feeling it.
