Iration is an alternative/reggae group of musicians who met while growing up in Hawaii but formed the band after reconnecting in Santa Barbara, CA. The band’s 2010 release Time Bomb hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Album Chart and has enjoyed a very successful run on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart to date as well. The band's EP releases include New Roots (2006), Sample This EP (2008) and Fresh Grounds (2011). The group has been touring nationally since 2007, performing at festivals such as: Lollapalooza, Wakarusa, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, and Sunset Strip Music Festival. Iration has headlined several successful national headline club tours with numerous sold out shows nationwide. Their third full-length album, Automatic, combines elements of reggae, rock and pop to create a truly unique listening experience. Automatic debuted at #75 on Billboard Top 200, #17 Billboard Top independent, and #1 on Billboard Top Reggae charts. Multiple songs by Iration have topped alternative radio station charts throughout the country - including Time Bomb's "Turn Around" and "Falling," as well as Automatic's "Back Around" and title track which was recently remixed for the radio and is starting to receive spins nationwide.
Through the Roots
With a combined vision, to educate and entertain, Through The Roots, was formed in the spring in 2008. Members of the band Evan Hawkins (vocals/guitar), Taylor Boatwright (drums), Bryan Jackson (bass), Brady O'rear (rhythm keys), and Chris Cruz (lead guitar) combine their musical talent and experience to create an innovative sound that is truly satisfying. Whether it may be their uplifting lyrics or catchy melodies, these guys know how to entertain a group of listeners of any size. The guys met one after another as a sign of fate and have been jamming consistently ever since. They played their first show after only two months of practicing together, and have played over 50 shows since then, up and down the coast of California. From San Diego To Chico, California, and through out parts of Arizona they have rocked crowd's in the thousands. With hopes of obtaining a record label and goals to record their full length album. Through the Roots has big plans for 2009: after recently finishing their first six song EP, TTR's management is working diligently to fill their calendar. Through the Roots has shared the stage with bands such as Tribal Seeds, The Liberation Posse, Natural Incense, Reggae Party, and Steel Foundation. Their main influences are Steel Pulse, UB40, Ooklah the Moc , Eek-a-Mouse, and Sublime. Upcoming events include The Human Rights Festival at San Diego State, playing with The Pack in Tucson , taking part in the Emergenza Music Festival, and jamming for the famous Cannon Ball Run in Chico, CA. TTR is working closely with the CEA Foundation in a persistent effort to educate about the dangers of drunk driving and to promote the idea or making good choices. Life is short and there is no time to waste, the music of Through the Roots is able to accomplish getting this message to people through their satisfying tunes.
Fortunate Youth is a collaboration of South Bay reggae stand-outs. Rising from various bands, they've created a phenomenal 7-piece masterpiece bringing more fire to the stage than ever before. Combining rootsy vibes and unique bass lines united with multiple harmonies, boisterous guitar solos, and heavy keys separates Fortunate Youth from every other mainstream reggae band. With their high energy approach and positive stage presence they provide an unforgettable show to every music fan. Fortunate Youth's objective is to ensure a performance that leaves you feeling euphoric and curious of what might happen at the next show.
In 2011 they supported Tribal Seeds on their nationwide Tribal Youth Tour to spread their conscious music to the nation. F.Y. linked up The Green, from Hawaii, for a Midwest/Westcoast run before jumping back in the studio to record. They have hit the masses promoting only their 6-song EP titled "Up-Lifted EP" and just released their full-length album, "IRIE STATE OF MIND" on July 1, 2011. Fortunate Youth will also be touring very heavily through 2011 including a Naitonwide CD Release Summer Tour.
Upon Releasing their full-length album they quickly rose to #2 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and also locked in a #13 position on Billboard Top 100 Reggae Albums. Receiving great praise for early success Fortunate Youth strives to spread their interpretation of Reggae music to Music Lovers worldwide.
They have had the honor to share the stage with bands such as Groundation, Toots & The Maytals, The Green, The Wailers, Katchafire, Tribal Seeds, The Expendables, Pepper, Dirty Heads, Natural Vibrations, Tomorrows Bad Seeds and Sashamon.
Micah Brown's music derives from the blues, rock-n-roll, and outlaw country that drenched the garage while wrenching with dad growing up. Micah has quickly made his ever-broadening audience take notice of his brash and unique, dexterous way around a fretboard. He's also become known for his milky smooth, deft command of his voice, using it to express passion, emotion, and positive inspiration.
Amongst his peers, the recognition has included 2012 & 2013 "Best Folk Winner" and 2011 "Best Live Acoustic Winner" the past three years at the Orange County Music Awards in Anaheim, CA. Micah is also a two-time Pier Award nominee.
Micah's sophomore release, 'The Isle of Her' has received multiple Album of the year nominations, quickly garnering an underground following of passionate, grass-roots fans.

Over the past 18 months, Micah had the enormous honor of playing shows with a variety of renowned bands. He joined the Dirty Heads for appearances at the 2012 KROQ Weenie Roast and SmokeOut Festival, alongside legends such as Coldplay, Incubus, Pennywise, The Offspring, and Sublime with Rome.
Micah's solo career included performances at Doheny Days, SxSW in Austin, and California Roots Festival last year, on billings with Weezer, Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, CAKE, Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love, SOJA, The Expendables, Iration, and many more.
"Micah Brown is an avid player in putting Orange County on the map as an acclaimed music haven. He is a singer-songwriter who never disappoints with his unique approach to folk and blues." (Ben Kashuk, unEARTH Music Hub)
Micah blends rootsy americana, folk, and blues, with rock, soul, and even a little reggae thrown in for good measure. He can perform a standout acoustic solo set, or bring the band along to create a more full, driving musical force on stage, which features his platinum-award-winning engineer/producer Lewis Richards and professional surfer/violinist Jennifer Argenti.
"Although Brown has a modern, almost-folksy vocal styling, he balances out the well-pitched cool of his voice with scorching-hot guitar riffs reminiscent of Delta Blues greats Robert Johnson or John Lee Hooker." (Noir/KROQ)
On the heels of a critically-acclaimed full-length release and two North American tours, Micah has been busy in the studio working on new material, preparing for a new release and more U.S. tour dates later this summer and fall.
Both of Micah's albums were conceived at 17th Street Recording Studio, where they received a dose of pop-surf-tinged production from Richards. "The Isle of Her", released this past August, and his debut EP release, "Down Like Hail", are available digitally everywhere.
Brown has been turning heads and drawing lofty comparisons on the heels of his debut release "Down Like Hail" in January, and is creating quite a restive anticipation of what's to come next.
His latest accomplishment would be taking home the 2011 OC Music Awards Best Acoustic title this February.
"Brown definitely has a deeply ingrained star quality that is evident to all of his loyal fans. No matter what Brown decides to do with his music, I have a feeling he is going to be hugely successful." (Nadia Noir - kroq.com)
Micah's music blends his early influences of blues and folk and fluidly invokes the sounds of SoCal that he was raised amongst and combines them with his love for Americana to create a unique, fresh, eclectic twist on the singer-songwriter sound.

Micah co-produces and releases his solo project of original music with producer Lewis Richards (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads) from 17th Street Recording Studios in Costa Mesa. Mature beyond his years, Micah is an old soul and it is apparent in his heartfelt, genuine music, made for no better reason then to evoke a feeling and invite people into the moment. When Micah's feeling it, everyone's feeling it.
