The Sword

"Not to be confused with the Canadian heavy metal band from the late '80s, named simply Sword, the Sword are a retro-metal four-piece hailing from -- of all places -- the singer/songwriter oasis of Austin, TX. First conceived in 2003, the Sword really hit their stride about a year later, when founding vocalist and guitarist J.D. Cronise joined forces with guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie, and drummer Trivett Wingo, and made a much raved-over appearance at Austin's famed SXSW festival. National touring stints with everyone from Clutch to indie rock darlings ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead followed, and by mid-2005 the Sword had been picked up by New York-based indie label Kemado Records, with their much-anticipated debut album, Age of Winters, appearing early the next year. Before completing their second album, they contributed two songs (one original and one Led Zeppelin cover) to a split 12" EP with Swedish heavy rockers Witchcraft in November 2007. Gods of the Earth arrived in spring 2008. Changing their muse from fantasy to science fiction, the Sword released Warp Riders in 2010, a concept album featuring an original narrative written by the band." - Eduardo Rivadavia, AllMusicGuide

Thrash-inspired Doom Metaller's CASTLE released their second album "Blacklands" on September 11th on their new North American label PROSTHETIC RECORDS.

"Blacklands" – which was produced by Billy Anderson (Cathedral, Sleep, Neurosis) – was described by Metal Hammer UK as being "a tough alloy of purest classic metals — doom, thrash, epic and power — charged with arcane mysticism." The album artwork was done by Russian symbolist painter Denis Forkas Kostromitin. "Blacklands" is nominated for a 2013 Canadian Juno award in the "metal/hard music album of the year" category.

CASTLE were formed in 2009 and released their debut album "In Witch Order" via the German label Van Records (The Devil's Blood) in the spring of 2011. The album brought light to the newly formed band and gained them the title of Metal Hammer Norway's album of the year as well as Roadburn Festival's "Newcomer of the Year". Having just returned from a successful European tour alongside Intronaut in addition to appearances at Roadburn and Desertfest, CASTLE have announced a stretch of shows throughout the western U.S. With support from Demon Lung (Candlelight Records), the trio will make their way to and from the Doom in June festival in Las Vegas, NV on June 1. The band will then continue to tour throughout the summer including supporting Intronaut on select dates of their upcoming U.S. tour alongside label mates SCALE THE SUMMIT.

Additionally, the band have also announced plans for a full North
American tour later this summer. More details and information regarding this tour will be announced in the coming weeks.

American Sharks

"American Sharks: Hell-for-leather punkish hard rock like the Supersuckers and New Bomb Turks used to make. Add a healthy dose of Memphis/Detroit garage R&B, and assorted nods to Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and the Misfits."
