Louis Fouché and Jonathan Powell

Louis Fouché and Jonathan Powell

Louis Fouché and Jonathan Powell became friends in 2012 while touring the globe with 10-time Grammy winner Eddie Palmieri in his salsa and latin jazz ensembles. Powell and Fouché share a love for latin music and are versatile in other genres as well. Fouché is currently performing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert with the house band Jon Batiste & Stay Human, and Powell has toured with Ricky Martin, JT Taylor of Kool & the Gang, and Arturo O'Farrill's Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra.

Eddie Palmieri's music and mentorship inspired Powell and Fouché to form a band to pay tribute to Palmieri's hard-hitting, innovative style while also infusing their own diverse musical influences.

The Powell/Fouché Latin Project's concerts include original compositions and instrumental adaptations of Latin classics – all of which are sure to keep you dancing! Their debut album is slated for release in 2017.
