Dead Fish Handshake

Dead Fish Handshake Take New EP to the Road

When you’ve shared the bill with national music acts like Collective Soul, Ed Kowalczyk (Live), Pop Evil, Sponge, Hurt, and Queensryche, you know you’ve got an impressive sound. But Dead Fish Handshake isn’t stopping there.

When the four piece rock group crafted their latest album, “The Sixes,” they turned to Sevendust’s Clint Lowery to elevate their sound. The end product shows why they’ve been moving alongside with these rock veterans.

The band’s sophomore EP is soaked in pure rock ‘n’ roll, dripping with a raw intensity that quickly captivates listeners. The vocals wear a rough edge (Matthew Paul), which is both showcased and balanced by creative and catchy melodies. Guitar turns (Rob Ferreira) strike with an atmospheric feel that’s high energy instead of ambient, a rare quality that’s previously emerged in bands like Nine Inch Nails and U2. They’re rounded out by the partnership of clean, consistent bass work (Darren Furman) and driving, steady drum lines (Matt Biehl). These ingredients have positioned them dead center of the rock radio dial.
Dead Fish Handshake’s unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll sound is a result of their no bells-and-whistles approach.

“We want to create a quality, accessible sound” said Paul. “’The Sixes’ accomplishes both by creatively highlighting the fundamentals, and avoiding excessive layers of sound that hinder us instead of help us.”

“The Sixes” is available now on iTunes and Amazon. For more information, including upcoming tour dates, log onto www.deadfishhandshake.com, or e-mail kate@architektmusic.com .

Biography
What series of events unites a few strangers to make music together? Is it a cosmic anomaly or destiny? Jandre Nadal, John Feliciano, Edgar Ramos and JuanMa Font gravitated towards each other because of a shared desire to create intoxicating and sublime music. Since 2009 this intricate sonic workshop has yielded blistering tracks with great depth, melding dreamlike sounds with unheard-of guitar strength, tight bass, high-energy drums and powerful melodic vocals.

On March, 2010 Message to Venus released their first single titled "Cold & Grey" which was received with great reviews.

* “Cold & Grey” is a dark and haunting rocker that will have you wishing the boys had an album out already so you could overdose on it immediately! A very talented group of writers and performers, this is one you’ll be hearing about in 2011, I’m sure of it." - Craig "Bam Bam" Stegall, Editor, http://Away-Team.com/
* "I checked out their Myspace page and was thoroughly impressed by the band's take on modern rock, but it wasn’t until I played their single “Cold & Grey” for the first time on one of my radio shows that I realized how fabulous Message To Venus really are; it literally left me covered in goose bumps and from that day forward I have been a hardcore fan of the band." - Brian Basher, Owner and Radio Host, http://HardRockNights.com/

Their follow up release on February, 2011 of their EP titled "The Envelope" has also been very well received.

* "Their passionate guitar riffs and crisp vocals are clearly becoming the hallmark of Message to Venus. The Envelope is an exciting debut EP and will surely garner a sizable following for Message to Venus for their full-length album Victims & Villains." - Dandy, Editor, http://XRVvolume.com/
* "I kid you not, you will find NOTHING to possibly bitch about or wish you “would have heard” in either of these tunes! They just simply got it 100% right on the money! Seemingly impossible in this day and age, but Message To Venus is not your average band." - Craig "Bam Bam" Stegall, Editor, http://Away-Team.com/
