Car Bomb

Car Bomb is a mathcore band from Long Island, NY. Their debut album, Centralia, was released through Relapse Records on February 6, 2007.

Car Bomb first came to be around the year 2000, when Greg Kubacki and Michael Dafferner of the band Neck shared a rehearsal space under a Rockville Center, New York butcher with Elliot Hoffman and Jon Modell of the band Spooge. Over time, the bands became great friends and frequently visited each other's practices. In 2002, Modell, unsatisfied with the music his band was making, recruited Kubacki and Dafferner to form what a side project called Car Bomb. In 2004, Car Bomb began recording. Their first full-length album Centralia was released on February 6, 2007 via Relapse Records.

Resolution 15

Resolution15 is a band whose sound is rooted in thrash metal, hardcore, punk, and classical music that uses violins in place of guitars to disseminate their egalitarian message of global change. Formed in 2007, Resolution15 released their self-titled debut to rave reviews (being featured on the front page of CD Baby for an entire month and in articles in numerous metal blogs) and quickly became a fixture in the New York metal scene. The EP Satyagraha was released in April 2010 with Corey Unger (guitarist of the seminal New England metalcore band Blood Has Been Shed) as producer. This is what Metal Edge says about them. "...violins have been attached to folk metal and other oblong versions of what you might consider to be metal, but what was being belted out onstage was nowhere near folk, chamber music or anything along those lines. This [Resolution15] is thrash. This is loud. This is a kick in the ******* face." However, there is no reason to blindly accept someone else's perceptions, no matter how grateful the band is to have that quote. Resolution15 feels that you should come see with your own eyes, hear with your own ears. Just come to a show and make up your own fucking mind. Thank you and have a nice day.
