Jake Miller

Jake Miller, born November 28, 1992, is an American rapper, singer, musician and songwriter from Weston, Florida. He is currently attending the University of Miami. In high school the multi-talented musician who taught himself to play the drums and guitar at a young age, put out a few homemade music videos on YouTube which immediately created a buzz and attracted the attention of music business insiders who began to guide Jake on his journey.

Jake's very first live performance was in March 2011 when he opened for legendary rapper Snoop Dogg in Pompano Beach, Florida and shortly after he opened for rapper Mac Miller in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In May 2011, Jake won the Samsung & T-Mobile national "Kick it with the Band" competition designed to highlight some of the best music talent on the verge of stardom across the country. As the grand prize winner, Jake was awarded $35,000.00 for use towards his music career and a music video with YouTube sensation Keenan Cahill. In November 2011, Jake performed alongside Flo Rida, Sean Kingston and Asher Roth at the "Think Pink Rocks" concert in West Palm Beach, FL which is sponsored by Steve Rifkind and SRC Records. In December 2011, Jake took the stage at the annual Y-100 Jingle Ball concert where Cody Simpson and We the Kings also performed. On December 31, 2011, he rang in the New Year at the Orange Drive Miami Beach Music Festival in which Jason Derulo, Cee Lo Green, Ne-Yo, Gym Class Heroes and Cobra Starship also performed. On March 11, 2012 Jake performed on both the Planet Pit Stage and Power 96 Stage at the famed Calle Ocho Festival in Miami, FL in front of an estimated crowd of 200,000+. He also had a show sponsored by Miami's pop radio station Y-100 where he performed with Sammy Adams, Austin Mahone, J Rand and others. A personal highlight for Jake (as he is an avid Miami Heat fan) was when he performed at the AAA arena during the NBA championship finals.

MTV Buzzworthy says "Jake Miller is about to blow up! Jake just released a brand-new video and we're mildly obsessed, to say the least. Jake's rap flow is serious, and we haven't even discussed his vocals yet! Unsurprisingly, Jake's also got a killer set of pipes." The Miami Herald recently featured Jake in a full page article titled Young Rapper in the Fast Lane, and goes on to say "It's Miller time! Get used to hearing the name Jake Miller. The Weston rapper is on his way. At just 19, the singer-songwriter is a Web sensation." J-14 Magazine featured Jake in their weekly Hot Music Alert section while YoungHollywood.com says "South Floridian Teen Jake Miller (is) breaking through to the Music Mainstream." WFOR-TV (CBS Miami) says "Jake Miller is a star on the rise whose catchy rap tunes are exploding all over the internet." On March 6, 2012, MTV.com did the exclusive music video premiere of Jake's single "I'm Alright." Jake went on a Florida radio tour in March, 2012 to promote his single, "What I Wouldn't Give," and at one point, it was the only record near the top 50 on the Top 40 charts by a completely independent artist.
Jake recently released his first EP, "Spotlight" on iTunes. Jake is a social media wiz and stays extremely connected to his growing fan base. He currently has over 150,000 followers on Facebook and over 200,000 Twitter followers.

"Action Item is a band about moments." These are the first words you will read in the band's recent announcement of their documentary screenings of Until It's Over. You can ask any of their undying fans and they will tell you, Action Item is unlike any other band. From their creativity, to their passion, to their never ending hard work, these New Jersey natives plan on breaking the mold.
From the start, this five piece powerhouse has never played it safe. "We always try to top our past ideas when we market our band," explains keyboard player Mark Shami. "An independent band creating a documentary & screening it across the country was just that. Not to mention we have sold out almost every date." But this is only the latest idea that has been wildly successful for the young pop act.
Action Item has been touring the last two years in support of their first EP, "The Stronger The Love," an album that has sold over 22,000 copies independently. In that time these early twenty-somethings have been direct support for Hot Chelle Rae, Andy Grammer, & Allstar Weekend. Along with having support slots for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez & Boys Like Girls under their belt. On top of that, the band has had 3 singles in Radio Disney's Top 30 Countdown including "Learn To Fly" a track produced by Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. "Working with Nick was incredibly surreal because when someone of that stature has faith in you," bassist, David Buczkowski describes "It reaffirms that you're on the right path."
Right now, the boys are putting the finishing touches on their new EP, due out this Fall. Contracting A-List producers & co-writers, the sky is the limit for them. "This album is going to show exactly where we are as a band, musically and personally," says singer Brian Cag. "I think there is a song for everyone on this record. Our personalities really shine through every track and we couldn't be more proud of it."
Last Day of Summer, the lead single, is bursting with breath taking nostalgia, an undeniable hook & monstrous production. "No matter how old you are, you can't help but have flashbacks of the summer days that you want to relive over & over," drummer Dan Brozek proclaims with a smile.
It's unquestionable that Action Item has already accomplished more than most bands, but this is only the start. "If it's out there & you want it, you need to make it happen for yourself," states songwriter/guitarist Anthony Li. "Every single day, we wake up & think, 'How can we expand our fanbase today?' 'How can we accomplish more than we did yesterday?' 'How can we make our fans, family & friends proud today?'" It's hard not to root for a band with so much heart.

Denver band Air Dubai
is more than the sum of its parts. It's not about the exciting
combination of eclectic genres or even the explosive onstage energy. The group's
appeal lies in its member's passion for the music they create, as well as their love for
the people who come to
see them perform. A heady mix of hip
-
hop, pop, soul, rock and
electronic, Air Dubai exists not to fit into one specific category or sound, but instead to
create something new and fresh on each album and even every song.
The band's roots date back to 200
8, when high school friends singer Jon Shockness
and rapper Julian Thomas decided to create a hip
-
hop duo using the name Air Dubai.
Originally utilizing pre
-
recorded beats, the pair collaborated for a year until they both felt
the need to create music more
organically. By spring of 2009, Air Dubai had its first
rehearsal as a live band with instruments. By rounding out the lineup with Nick Spreigl
(drums), Lawrence Grivich (guitar), Michael Ray (keyboard/synth), and Taylor Tait
(bass), Air Dubai was able to
transform itself into a shape
-
shifting powerhouse of talent,
seamlessly blending genres and styles.
To date, the seven
-
piece has two official releases: 2010's "Wonder Age" (produced by
Andrew Guerrero of Flobots) and 2011's "Day Escape" (produced by Sylv
ia Massy,
whose credits include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool and Prince). The albums showcase
impressive musical dexterity and songwriting ability, but the true magic lies in Air
Dubai's live shows; energetic, soulful performances fueled mainly by the faith
ful fans
that come to see them play.
In December of 2012 the band announced their signing to Hopeless Records and
released a song bundle through
iTunes, which
included their songs "Warning" & "All
Day".
"Signing with Hopeless was like finding the final h

materials to destroy it

Hometown For The Holidays" competition, multiple songs featured on MTV's hit
series Jersey Shore and in Hollister stores nationwide. The band has also shared the
stage with a wide array of local and national artists, including OneRepublic, 3Oh!3 and
Rise A
gainst.
In 201

, Air Dubai plans to release a new album, continue touring and increase their fan
base worldwide.
