Mary Millben

Mary Millben

As both an entertainer and political activist, Mary Millben thinks of herself as a “grounded idealist.” Born and raised in Oklahoma, Mary’s first stage was her home church, Cathedral of Praise (now known as The Gate Church), where she was known as a “Songbird” for her stunning vocal range. This community was not alone in their realization of her talent. Thanks to the faith instilled by her determined, single mother, it was a matter of time before this preacher’s child would go from the hills of the South to the stages of the world. A University of Oklahoma alum, her life journey then led her to the Nation's capitol where she served as a Presidential Appointee to George W. Bush. During this time, Mary’s musical talents were recognized and showcased, leading her to a number of opportunities such as a featured soloist at The White House, the Kennedy Center and for both the Bush and subsequent Obama Administrations. The “Songbird’s” talents then led her to NYC and Europe, where she made her first theatrical debut, headlined at the legendary Copacabana, and was a featured performer for Europe’s celebration of Black History Month in Croatia.

Presented by The Agency Group, Mary is delighted to debut in NYC for her first solo concert. She looks forward to bringing the perfect combination of soul, elegance and love to the Big Apple’s newest premier stage, The Cutting Room.
