The Rocket Summer
Texas native Bryce Avary, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist mastermind behind The Rocket Summer, has accomplished enough for someone a lot older. He writes and produces every song on his records, and plays every instrument on them.
Dinner and a Suit
In a music world where genre lines are increasingly blurred, DINNER AND A SUIT has emerged with a sonic meld that resonates with familiarity and captivates with distinction.
Formed in New Jersey by cousins Jonathan Capeci, Joey Beretta and Anthony Genca, the three looked to their lineage for a musical namesake.
During the Great Depression, the trio's great grandmother was a seamstress by day and community humanitarian by night, welcoming the less fortunate into her home to feed home-cooked meals and then send off with newly repaired suits and clothing.
As a combined unit, the efforts of Capeci, Beretta and Genca have forged a path that reflects their music itself: putting the right pieces in the right places at all the right times.
Since their formation in 2009, Dinner And A Suit quickly captured attention with a captivating blend of ethereal rock and distinguished pop - leading to critical acclaim, a swelling dedication of global fans, and coveted live dates that have circled the band throughout the US.
The spiraling success fueled Dinner And A Suit to transplant to Nashville in late 2010, where they began work on what would become Since Our Departure - their brand new full-length album.
"We left the comforts of home to pursue this dream," explains Capeci. "And that definitely comes through on this record."
To record Since Our Departure, the band split their time between Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta with producer Matt Goldman (Anberlin, Underoath), then with Tyler Orr (As Cities Burn, Copeland) at First Street Studios in Cleveland TN.
The resulting work is a range of bold anthems, layered with soaring melodies that are riveting with honesty. Throughout the album's ten towering tracks, Capeci's lush timbre weaves universal themes of forgiveness and hope, love and loss, and discovering a place in the world.
"It just poured out of us," Genca adds. "There's a lot of passion and energy on this record. It's an experience that we're sharing with the listeners in a very real way."
Patrick Rood a.k.a. The Captain, Vice President and co owner of Trouble & Bass Recordings, is a man of many talents that has been pushing and molding the Trouble & Bass artist roster and brand since his induction to the T&B Crew in 2007. When he's not globe trotting around as The Captain, he's at the T&B klubhaus juggling a thousand duties, from curating T&B Radio on Scion Radio 17, directing & producing music videos, art directing the next T&B release cover, managing the label releases, producing the next T&B events or designing the next T&B merch item. When he gets time to breathe he takes it to the club with his blend of House, Baltimore Breaks, Dubstep, Hip Hop, R&B and bass heavy music.
And let's not forget about his mean VHS collection, love for energy drinks and the biggest sweet tooth in all of Trouble & Bass.
