Song writers for the band Oakhurst's last album Barrel Adam Hill and Max Paley have kept their collaborations alive as a duo called Graham Stone. After touring together for the last three years these guys have come up with their own style of folk grass
Daniella Katzir is an accomplished singer-songwriter who was born in Israel and grew up soaking up the sounds of the Middle East. As a teenager, Katzir fell in love with the songwriting of Bob Dylan and other traditional American folk artists. This combination of influences colored her musical upbringing, and continues to surface in her singing and writing. After 20 years of playing, Katzir is focused on a blend of claw-hammer banjo and Piedmont style finger-picking, complemented by a variety of vocal approaches, from gypsy-jazz inspired blues to Americana folk to the East Coast funk and soul. A talented lyricist and musician, Katzir’s rhythmic authority on the guitar is solidified by years playing the drums. When not performing solo, Katzir fronts Magnolia Row, which consists of members of the Phish tribute act Phix and Boulder’s bluegrass Backwoods Galaxy. She has shared the stage with the nationally touring Grateful Dead tribute act, Dark Star Orchestra, and has solidified her lyrical authority by co-writing and recording a track with members of the band. Katzir has also performed with Hot Buttered Rum, Matt Butler’s Everyone Orchestra, members of Leftover Salmon, The Motet and Big Gigantic.
