Taylored was formed in 2011 after Austin Taylor (Singer/Guitar) and Zane Decker (Bass) broke off from their previous band to create a new sound. After a couple of lineup changes, the evolution of Taylored led to Mike Arrom on keys, Andrei “big bro” Koribanics on drums and Matt Calabrese on lead. Tim Holmes took over the lead guitar role as the rock/alt/pop band refined its sound, playing gigs in NYC and New Jersey.
While every band member brings exceptional individual talent to Taylored, together they create a polished rock/alt/pop sound with powerful vocals and a unique synth sound. Taylored’s influences include 30 Seconds to Mars, U2, Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, Incubus, fun. And many more.
Taylored is currently touring and in the studio writing and recording with Producers James Mazlen, Phil Vassil (of Vibrolush) and Grammy winner Earl Cohen.
We like our music the way we like our food...HOMEMADE. We try to infuse different genres while still getting people to clap their hands.
mi Asta is a musician born June 12 of 1984 in Ecuador and raised in Argentina, who just moved to New York.
He started playing guitar at the age of 8, influenced by musicians such as, Gary Moore. Brian May, David Gilmour, Steve Vai, Ingwye Malmsteen, Jason Becker, Slash, Steve Ray Vaughan, etc.
At the age of 16, after a long and unsuccessful research for a lead singer for his first serious band (that after several name changes, was finally named “Shoother”) Emi decided to sing himself and also be in charge of composing all songs and melodies.
His voice is often compared to singers such as, Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi), Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), whom obviously have been huge influences on him, as well as other singers like Jani Lane (Warrant), Miljenko Matijevic (Steelheart), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Janis Joplin, Mark Slaughter (Slaughter), Freddie Mercury (Queen), etc.
Under the name of Shoother, recorded his first E.P. between August and December of 2008 titled “Who The F*%k Said Rock N’ Roll Is Dead” containing 4 songs (all of them written and recorded entirely by Emi). It was released in Argentina in February of 2009 and received excellent critics. In March of the same year he elected the Song “Naked On The Floor” as the E.P.’s single to shoot a video.
Shoother got to play in the Buenos Aires underground scene, selling out all most recognized venues such as Acatraz, Tabasco, CBGB, Speed King, The Roxy, etc.
Given the lack of commitment of the rest of the members in the band, Emi decided to continue his career as a solo man changing the name of his band project to simply “Emi Asta”.
In August of 2010 Emi recorded his first album self titled containing new improved versions of the songs recorded in the E.P., and also adding five new songs, one of them being a cover of the Janis Joplin’s song “Cry Baby”.
In February of 2012 decided to move to New York, where he’s working on the promotion of his album and writing new material.
