One Drop from San Diego, California embraces the spirit of classic Roots Reggae and Dub music with a calculated blend of R&B, Pop and Rock subtleties. Inspired by artists like Steel Pulse, Gregory Isaacs and The Police, One Drop’s music is infectious and well received by a wide range of age and cultural demographics. Critics describe their sound as genuine and captivating, filled with melodic choruses, refreshing vintage guitar/organ tones all cleverly layered over seductive bass lines. The voice of One Drop is soulfully delivered with brutally honest lyrics rooted from true-life experiences of love, growing up in a dysfunctional home and social & political taboos.
In the spring of 2012 One Drop will be releasing their highly anticipated sophomore album titled “Black Book Diaries” featuring performances from shared cast members and roots reggae veterans “The Devastators”. By utilizing retro equipment and out-board effects from 1970’s (Fender Rhodes, Hammond C3, Studio Upright Piano, Clavinet D6, Tape Delays, Analog Spring Reverb) and a blend of organic and innovative digital production tools, One Drop promises to exceed fans’ high expectations. The band is constantly evolving and growing into something special. A tremendous amount of attention and detail are being put into this album, which will feature 15 new songs.
One Drop’s (a name describing a traditional reggae drum beat popularized by Carlton Barrett of The Wailers) inception began over a decade ago when introductions were made in a San Diego college music class. The band began to gig aggressively in 2006 and fans got their first taste of recordings in 2007 with the release of their self-titled EP. By 2008 they had developed a huge regional following and in May that same year released their acclaimed debut CD “Mission Blvd” which yielded hit songs “Little Black Dress”, “She’s Gone” and “No Good Reason”.
Island Bound formed in 2006 by a group of friends who played just for fun at backyard parties. Then later offered an opportunity to play for our canoe clubs fundraiser called "Island Nights." We felt the crowd and they enjoyed our music! This is how Island Bound evolved.

The Hooky’s are an energetic reggae/rock/hip-hop band from the Pacific Northwest. Hailing from The PNW, The Hooky’s got their start in the Summer of 2011 in a friendly jam session, which brought a noise violation ticket. The band quickly began playing house parties and open mics in the city of Ellensburg, Wa (while members of the group attended Central Washington University). The band members began developing their own unique sound over the course of the Summer and started booking bars and parties wherever they could to raise money to pay for the noise violation ticket. By the end of the Summer, they were able to fund and self-promote a successful 10 show - 10 day tour, spanning the Oregon and Washington coasts, dubbed “The Break Even Tour.” Shortly after tour, the band entered Buffalo Gap’s (Portland, OR) “Winter 2011 Battle of the Bands Competition” where they placed second, after winning 4 previous rounds outside of their home state of Washington. The Hooky’s then went on to record their self-titled album (Jeremy Cays Studio in Sequim, WA) in the spring of 2012 with originals like “Skinny Dipper” and “Today Is Today.” During the Summer of 2012 the band was chosen to compete in Muckleshoot Casino’s “Pacific Northwest Battle of the Bands” and were crowned champions, after multiple rounds, earning a year long contract to play once a month at the casino’s Club Galaxy and cash/prizes equaling $30,000.
The Hooky’s are comprised of an ambitious group of hardworking individuals, brothers Ben Webb on vocals, Ary Webb on drums and Corbin Webb on guitar (Sequim, WA), along with Justin Beasley on guitar (Eugene, OR), Colin Kahler on bass (Sequim, WA) and Joshua Nguyen the Emcee (Auburn, WA). Their upbeat, lively mash of tunes bring a little bit of something everyone can vibe to. The Hooky’s are currently in the process of writing their second album and working to break into the Seattle music scene.
