The Attic Ends

The Attic Ends

The Attic Ends are a Brooklyn-based, ethereal indie rock band; a spine-tingling mix of rock's primal recklessness and the intricacy of brainy indie-pop. The music evokes an expansive darkness, richly layered with appealing melodies and power pop vocals. Formed in 2010, The Attic Ends spent the last three years writing and the last six months recording this upcoming album. This show will mark the first single release and serve as a send-off for their spring tour down South.

"Many years later", the tenor saxophonist Brandford Marsalis recalled, "a lot of younger musicians were hanging around with Elvin Jones, and they were talking about, 'Man, you know, you guys had an intensity when you were playing with Coltrane. I mean, what was it like? How do you play with that kind of intensity?' And Elvin Jones looks at them and says, 'You gotta be willing to die with the motherfucker.' They started laughing like kids do, waiting for the punchline, and then they realised he was serious. How many people do you know that are willing to die—period? Die with anybody! And when you listen to those records, that's exactly what they sound like. I mean that they would die for each other."

Bedroom Eyes

"dirty white gangster prince" is pretty flattering in the eyes of Ian Everall. Occupied by The Albertans, Deadbeat Darling, and Bravo Silva for the last six years he is finally making a go on his own terms. The freedom of simple hand played drum loops, bass and a vocal mic allow Bedroom Eyes true tastes to emerge. Focusing on soft and perverse lyrics, sparse and dark bass parts, and grindable drum beats, this show is meant to have a go at. Have a drink, or 8.
