The Composure / Blue of Colors "Singled Out & Small Little Pieces Dual Release Show"

The Composure

As a nod to some of the music that helped to shape their own sound, Pittsburgh pop-punkers THE COMPOSURE have announced “Singled Out”: A 90’s Covers Collection set for release on June 18.

Featuring hits from Semisonic, Fastball, Harvey Danger, Sublime, Blind Melon and Goo Goo Dolls, the digital EP will capture The Composure’s own power-pop essence within some of the biggest songs of the 90s. The band tracked the covers while in the studio with Jim Wirt (Jack’s Mannequin, Something Corporate, Incubus) at work on writing their follow-up to last spring’s EP Stay The Course.

Leading off with “Closing Time” – which premiered via video featurette at today – the track list for Singled Out also includes “The Way” (featuring Jack O’Shea of Bayside), “Flagpole Sitta,” “Badfish,” “No Rain” and “Slide.”

Blue of Colors

Punchline front man Steve Soboslai is branching out from the pop punk world and into a world of his own. Debut album coming Summer 2011. For fans of Death Cab For Cute, Rilo Kiley, and well, Punchline.

His record will be released later this year via record label Modern Short Stories. The record is being produced by Harrison Wargo.

Instead Of Sleeping

Instead of Sleeping is an indie rock band from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. They have been playing alongside national acts, including Hawthorne Heights, The Fall of Troy, Fun., Envy on the Coast, Madina Lake, and many more. They have been regionally touring the east coast and Midwest of the US, and have just recently released their first full-length album, but they are already recording another. This is one of THE bands to keep an eye on for 2011. Every show they play, they don't just leave a good impression... They leave craters.
