Scale of Six
Scale of Six is a rock band refusing to be classified even by themselves. Their sole mission is to find your butt and make it shake. With genre influences ranging from funk and soul to country and blues, with most things in between and outside that playing a role at some point, they seek only to please audience with a wide ranging group of originals and several patently original versions of classic songs.
Jeanette Berry and the Soul Nerds
Comprising of a revolving group of some of Philly’s brightest young musicians, The Soul Nerds were born through shared musical taste and pure fun. Jeanette Berry and the Soul Nerds bring the souls of each band member to the music being played. The group consisting of Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboard and Background Vocals bring new music to the ears of music fans and original spins to those songs already made. With influences like Chaka Chan, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Roy Hargrove, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, India Arie, The Roots, and many more, they bring their technical gifts and love of the music to every performance and record produced.
Marlowe Grey is a blend of dark romantic distant memories coupled with the vibrant fresh breath of living in the moment. This kind of Grey has never looked so vivid and rich in color! Brooklyn-based Marlowe Grey was formed by musicians AJ Pietro and Michael Koslow, with the goal of creating soundscapes that sit on top of AJ's simple, yet emotionally charged songwriting. The current ensemble of AJ, Angel Lozada, Trent Blackham, Alex Wirkmaa and Paula Croxson create vibrant arrangements of sound, layering over a heartfelt foundation with sensitive craftmanship and the subtle tones of the flute. This original combination builds upon strong material while exploring new ways of expression. Marlowe Grey’s new single, ‘Midnight In Brooklyn’ was released this past September and will be followed by an EP, which will break dawn this coming winter.
