No Anger Control
"You must not be paying attention, so it's time for an intervention! Time to dig ourselves out of this hole. It's time for NO ANGER CONTROL!!!"
No Anger Control Came together in the summer of 2012. Jason and Levi had come from carcass of When it Hits and John, who is in SouthSide Punx, wanted to play even more drums. A few songs and a couple gigs found Tiff (former BAMFs) auditioning for a shot at lead vocals. The band wasn't even sure they wanted a vocalist-only. The final audition was a live gig performance and the deal was sealed with the presentation of the NAC koozie!
The Fill Ins
Back in 2010, Alex Stiff formed The Fill Ins in Roanoke VA as a project with 3 other ex-members of another local band they were all part of. After a few shows and an EP, the quickly disbanded due to internal conflicts. Alex uprooted from Roanoke and moved back to his home in Charlotte NC to start fresh with a new sound and attitude.
The band had a few bumps and rough spots including long breaks, lack of shows and different lineup changes throughout the following years, but in late 2013 have finally settled with the powerhouse of Mikey Black on lead guitar, Captain Nunn on bass, Matt McCoy on drums and Alex Stiff keeping the band rolling after all these years on vocals and rhythm guitar.
The Fill Ins have opened for legendary acts such as Wednesday 13, The Reverend Horton Heat, Koffin Kats and Joe Buck Yourself; along with headlining Grindhouse Wrestling shows. Their debut album "Hipster Killers" was voted "Top 5 Best Albums of 2014" on www.MyGlobalMind.com and received positive reviews from local press including radio rotation on the south east for the song "Save The Rock".
In 2015, the band's plans are larger and more on target; expecting a full follow up to "Hipster Killers" and a Ramones tribute EP titled "Ignorance is Bliss". Like it or not, this band is here to stay.
