The Stone Sugar Shakedown
The Stone Sugar Shakedown, a 5-piece Funk, Rock, Jam band from Saint Louis, Missouri, was united by a love of musical exploration, improvisation, & getting soulfully nasty.
The group’s sound involves consistent interplay between instruments and the musical chemistry of its members. There is a constant balance of form and flow, structure and spontaneity, stone and sugar.
Since Fall 2009, The Shakedown has played a great deal of shows and festivals around the Midwest including Camp Zoe’s Schwagstock, 2010 7 2011 Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois, and has shared the ticket with bands like: Dumpstaphunk, Victor Wooten, Cornmeal, Whitewater Ramble, moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Steel Pulse, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Yonder Mountain String Band, Papadosio, The Avett Brothers, The Schwag, Melvin Seals & JGB, and Zappa Plays Zappa.
Everyone could enjoy The Shakedown’s music. It welcomes people of all ages, genders, types, and backgrounds. Thus, the audience is ever expanding. At the shows, the group wants its fans to let their minds wander, and feel free to become just as much a part of the collective vibe as the musicians onstage.
This wave’s getting bigger and bigger, and there’s no slowing the momentum.
Ice Cold Fatty
Ice Cold Fatty is an original psychedelic rock band from Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Our sound touches into southern rock, country, jam and even a touch of grass. All our members are versed in different genres, but meet in the middle to create a hard driving fun dancing rock show! Webb Cooper, Louisiana native, plays rhythm guitar, sings like a bird, and has led several bands in the Colorado area before relocating to the Ozark Mountains. Justin Easter is our "hot licks" guitar player that is versed in jazz, blues, rock and everything between. Justin's smooth melodies, funky flowing riffs will cut right through you. Caleb Lindsey our drummer, has a plethora of styles under his belt from rock, blues, electronic to afro-pop. If there's a pulse, he's got the feel for it. Dan Redmond plays electric bass with backgrounds in bluegrass, jazz, blues and rock, and is known for his doghouse bass playing in Mountain Sprout. We have known each other for a while and respected each other as friends and fellow musicians. In November 2012 the stars lined up and we were able to start this band. We clicked right away and realized that our sound fills a "missing element" to the live music scene. We're looking forward to bending your ears and making your bodies groove. Cheers!
