Tallhart [formerly known as Marksmen] are back with a new EP, Bloodlines, and its six tracks are a gorgeous display of indie-rock melodies and post-rock instrumentation, tinged with folk influences and delivered with heart. There's the sunny, youthful vibe of [the aptly titled] "Drunk Kids," the hushed acoustics leading to soaring instrumentation on "Wolves," and the rich and woody, dark vibes of album opener and first single "Fever (Sister of Mine)." All fuse together to create a unique and thoughtful offering, which you can now spin in full with this exclusive premiere. The EP officially drops April 10 via Equal Vision Records.
From Indian Lakes
"From Indian Lakes could easily be handpicked as one of the best alternative rock bands most people have never heard of. The California quintet blend intelligent and touching lyrics with entrancing rock to create a musical organism that sounds like Brand New's poetic yet daring younger brother." - Blare Magazine
"...one of the better unknown efforts of 2009...if you are akin to tapestries of sonic guitars, vocals with impressive range, and a very personal approach filled with echoed pianos and acoustics, then "The Man With Wooden Legs" will feel like a worthy journey that will take you where few have traveled, and even less have succeeded in. Score: 4.5/5"- BringOneMixedReviews
"This album overall sounds beautiful, and will be something new for those of you who enjoy Enter Shikari and Circa Survive." -The Interlude
Makeshift Prodigy is a manifestation of pure expression. A grass roots collective combining music and mind to create a powerful experience...
My Band Earl
"Writing has always been my form of processing. We each have highs, lows, love, and loss in our lives. What you hear from me is built between those lines." - Earl
"Earl" is the most recent project of singer-songwriter Nathan Allebach who formed the local collaboration "Earl & Raine". They released one full length album in October of 2011, but Nathan soon went on to start fresh with music he could... call his own.
Based out of the Schwenksville area, he hosts the weekly open mic at Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville, books and promotes concert events at Rock Cafe in Harleysville, and has been performing in the Philadelphia scene for three years, as well as playing with local bands "Oh Constantine" and "Former Belle".
Earl is currently is the studio recording his debut album "Beginnings" scheduled to be released in the spring with songs resonating the likes of City & Colour, The Decemberists, Rocky Votolato, and David Bazan.
