Likers

“Let me tell you, this tape had me half way into the first track! Their indie, surf punk
sound is so unbelievably catchy that if you aren’t stoked on it yet GET STOKED, because
they might just be one of my favorite Philly bands right now!”
– Radio Static Philly (radiostaticphilly.net)

"Their six songs feature elements anywhere from pop, post-punk and punk,
occasionally mixing in some synth pop nods as well. It helps keep their sound
fun and refreshing, which features exhilarating turn after turn as ‘Men of
Honor’ unfolds...” – The Styrofoam Drone (styrofoamdrone.com)

"Flaring organs and twang infested riffs sting your heart and taint it with irrefutable
love." – Fuzz Drench (fuzzdrench.blogspot.com)

Likers are no strangers to pop. They’re no strangers to much, actually, which is apparent on their debut release, “Men of Honor” (FDH Records). Between a punky rhythm section, a
jangly guitar/organ front and vocals that span from tight harmonies to raw emotion, Likers make their mark by taking solid pop hooks and dragging them through grit, gain and
gloss. The result is a modern incarnation of timeless power-pop and punk ideals. We’ll call it ‘Power Punk.’

Mike Krol

Mike Krol is a band/idea out of Los Angeles, with additional members in Minneapolis, Madison, and Seattle.

The Goodland

The Goodland is a two piece rock outfit from Philadelphia, PA, consisting of Jonbohn on drums and Carl Johnson on bass. They both sing. The songs are all about heartbreak and encouragement, sometimes simultaneously. Their music is best enjoyed live, with a beer in hand surrounded by your best buddies.

Sore Saints

Angular, noisy, atonal. Sore Saints is comprised of four like-minded gentlemen from Philadelphia and Canada who, while born of different musical backgrounds, were still able to meet somewhere between Sonic Youth, The Jesus Lizard, and Hot Snakes. Think of it like this: say David Yow showed up to a party hosted by the Night Marchers. A few hours later a couple of bands that came out on Level Plane Records circa 2001 – 2003 crashed said party with a bunch of beer with the suggestion that all attendees shotgun one or two and swap instruments in a jam session that lasted about seventeen minutes, give or take.
