Aspiring worship leader & Singer/Songwriter
Music and performance have always been a part of Megan's life. She first performed in her home church in Michigan at the age of two. She has never left the stage since. Currently, Megan enjoys singing, songwriting, acting and motivational speaking,
Megan's passion for ministry and for sharing the Gospel through the field of entertainment is her driving force. Because of the talents God has given Megan, she has been able to share His love and His mercy to people all around her. She has had the privilege to lead praise and worship at local churches for teens and children, has performed and spoke for non-profit organizations, been involved in local outreach ministries, has worked on several film and television projects and has choreographed and directed children's musicals at her local church. Because of her strong leadership and organizational skills, she has interned at local businesses in radio and film and churches in the Children's and Youth Departments. In December 2012, she graduated from Southeastern University's on-line program with a major in Practical Theology and minor in Children's Ministries.
Megan's recent accomplishment is the opening of the business What HE Sees. It is a ministry celebrating God's unending love. The ministry is based on 1 Samuel 16:7b, "For the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Megan explains, "This ministry is meant to let people know that God sees our beauty and sees who we truly are. We look at ourselves and see imperfection but God sees more that that." What HE Sees will branch out into many different ministries as the Lord expands the business to include a youth and chlldren's department.
Megan was the Associate Producer and Script Supervisor on an independent film, Turkles and recently worked on the independent film All That You Can't Leave Behind as Production Coordinator. Megan has been involved with the movies Renee, The Perfect Game and StepUp 4 as well as the television show The Glades. She also acted and wrote a song for the short film Sea of Chances which screened at the 168 Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Megan's is currently working on her first full length Contemporary Christian CD to be released in conjuction with other future projects. Her music can be heard on-line at Reverbnation.com, Indiemusicchannel.com and IM Radio.com. I am a young singer/songwriter based out of Jacksonville, Florida. I started singing at a very young age, began writing at 13, and learned to play the guitar at 15. I am Self-managed (in case you couldn't already tell).
Through songwriting, I talk to my audience; I tell them a story, trigger their emotions, or let them interpret the lyrics to match their own lives.
My lyrics are not filtered and will bring your emotions to surface.
Using 10 guitar chords, I have written over 700 songs revolving around these topics and more.
My genres include: pop, alternative, country, indie, and rock.
I've been very blessed. I've been privileged to appear on news stations, showcase my songs and brand, perform in my hometown's prestigious venues, record my music, and manage myself.
Along with these amazing gifts, I have gotten to perform with the amazing local talent in Florida and have met so many brilliant people throughout this journey. Most of all, I have consistently been told that my songs have aided someone through a tough time or have made their day better. I look forward to see what my future holds.
This event is STANDING ROOM ONLY (with limited seating available)-NO LARGE BAGS-NO SMOKING IN VENUE-NO RE-ENTRY. Sound at the Murray Hill Theatre provided by AVL Productions www.avlproductions.com
