Rig which stands for as Real as It Gets has had a passion rapping at the early age of eight. Hailing from the Westside of Chicago, Rig is formally known as “TY” one of the members from the known Chicago rap group Rigamortis formed in 1998. He is his own influence musically, but when it comes to music he would listen to artists like Tupac, NWA, and Scarface. Rigamortis then signed with the legendary rap group Do or Die’s record label, “Neighborhood Watch” and released their first album, “Rigamortis Daydream” in 1999. The group parted ways and Ty took a break from the music scene after the tragic death of his older brother MD.
Rig made a comeback after making the decision to start his own record label in 2010. Not having an official name for the label, he birthed Music Dreams by incorporating the initials of his brother who wanted him to keep doing music and leave the streets alone, MD. RIG challenges himself musically and humbly speaks about being the greatest at what he does. His style is unique and he loves to diversify his craft. When asked about his style of rapping Rig states, “I don’t have a style, I have a sound”. It was once labor of love for him and he took the time off to learn the business by going independent and creating his own label with three other talented artists under his belt.
Rig invested his own finances into Music Dreams and has recorded tons of music with four new singles “Tunnelvision”, “Spend it all”, “Im Focused” and “Mic Check” with each song currently being in rotation on Power 92.3 Chicago, shooting numerous videos, doing shows around the city and preparing to release his mix tape with all original music before he drops his album titled, “The Voucher” this fall.
Chella H (Jennifer LowEnd) is known for her edgy, witty & entertaining street anthems. This spittress out of Chicago has been garnering a lot of notable attention as of late. She’s recently been featured in XXL magazine, All Hip Hop, Thisis50.com and on MTV’s Sucker Free just to name a few. Unsigned and taking the windy city by storm, her street presence is unmatched, as her fan base continues to grow steadily.
