In 1999, brothers Timmy and Jimmy Ray Brown Jr. and friend Stephen Patrick Madigan formed Dose of Adolescence (DofA). Timmy and Stephen shared the role of playing guitar and singing while Jimmy strummed bass. In the beginning, writing songs and playing music was an outlet to express themselves, but it quickly became something they wanted to dedicate their lives to. So, the guys promised each other that they’d live their dream of making and performing music. The name Dose of Adolescence signifies a time before people become jaded by life. It represents the inner child that doesn’t know any other way than to be completely honest. DofA’s music strives to convey a message of truth, hope and realism while combining new school punk rock with old school heart.
