40 Oz. To Freedom

Dane is a 6-time San Diego Music Award nominee for his work with the band Tubby and 40 oz. to Freedom. 40 oz. to Freedom won the San Diego Music Award for Best Tribute Band in 2010. Dane has toured the country with Tubby, The Fryday Band, Smooth Move, and now 40 oz. to Freedom. His soulful voice and face melting guitar riffs contribute to an energetic show which leaves the audience craving more.

Jeremy is a co-founder of 40 Oz. to Freedom. He and Dane have been friends for over 12 years and have been playing music together just as long. Jeremy grew up in Southern California as well, and it directly contributes to his playing vibe. His energetic stage presence and knowledge of the genre, makes him a great asset to the band.

Michael Hickman is a professional bassist based in Denver, Colorado. Versed in rock, reggae, funk, hip-hop, jazz and classical music, Hickman brings the low end to the 40 oz. to Freedom sound, and adds to the unique experience with his dynamic electric bass skills.

Carlos Perez aka LOS is one of the founding members of Americas favorite Sublime Tribute band 40oz TO FREEDOM. He also is the drummer for Las Vegas Hip Hop artist Big B. Along with being a studio musician, Los continues to gig independently in the San Diego club scene performing with San Diego's biggest and best DJ's such as DJ Mike Czech from Scratch N Sniff Radio, DJ Theron, DJ Scooter, DJ Donald Glaude to name a few. While keeping a busy schedule between Big B and a heavy touring schedule with 40oz TO FREEDOM, he continues to pack on more shows playing with San Diego's new age accoustic electro production trio "CRUSH EFFECT" working along side Jesse Molloy of the Pink Floyd Experience Band and David Veith of the Karl Denson's Tiny Universe.

Highline

Bringing together the traditional sounds of roots reggae, dub and dancehall, HIGHLINE is an energetic band dedicated to creating a truly authentic reggae sound. The band members come from diverse musical backgrounds ranging from punk, hip-hop, rock and jazz, but have come together to make a brand of reggae music they can call their own. Thumping bass-lines, hard hitting drum beats and soaring vocal harmonies combined with the edgy, often politically charged rapid-fire vocals of Mr. Brown will surely get you off your feet and dancing.

Heart & Soul Radio

You may remember the boys from such rock outfits known as Animo® and DORK®.

Since then the crew formed Heart & Soul Radio that many say is more powerful than He-Man, She-ra and Battlecat put together. These punk rock veterans pride themselves on their ability to mix lamebrained antics with hard-hitting awesomeness. Chances are, if you listen to their music you will drop a deuce or two in the process…yeah it hits that hard. Ya'll ever heard of a power chord? Yeah, they rock 'em like no one else! How 'bout a little one, four, five, one, chord progression? You can't handle the complexity! Face!!!

Here's Some Things They've Done As Songwriters:

Played over 500 shows all over North America, including the entire Vans Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.

They've had songs appear on MTV, FUSETV, and the movie American Pie Presents: Band Camp.

In January 2007 Jimmy had a drumhead inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as part of the Vans Warped Tour display. We are also featured in the video that accompanies the display.

In December 2006 "Songwriting for Dummies" was selected as the best song by Clear Channel in a radio contest.

Jimmy and Brian "hung out backstage and showed off why the female fans went crazy for them during their breakout set. They're one of a number of bands picking up a great deal of buzz on this Warped Tour" - Rolling Stone.com July 2008

They "remind me of everything I missed in punk rock. These guys are a mix of Unwritten Law, NOFX, and old Blink with catchy riffs as well as catchy and melodic choruses. Why these dudes aren't signed is beyond me, because these (songs) are awesome!" - Guestlist Magazine July 2008

"Channels a high-minded brand of punk that blends raw aggression with strong musicianship and pop sensibilities" – Boulder Daily Camera June 2008
