Royal Teeth is a happy accident. On a whim, the New Orleans-based band started incorporating samples and electronics to its indie vibe. Though this sounds mainstream, the band catches audiences off-guard with its memorable male and female vocal hooks.

More than ever, the band has cemented its stylistic sound. Before, the lineup changed from show-to-show. Now, the six members are set, ready for royalty.

American Authors

We express our experiences as a shared unit , through music and an agreement of sound. No one always gets along, but with lows come highs and fighting always has an end. we accept struggle and are passionate about the lives we lead. We create the music that comes naturally to us and we're not afraid of change. We have all made changes for better and for worse but whats done is done and we are thrilled with the present. We all have a story to tell and whether it's audible, visual, silence or motion, we cant hide the fact that we are constantly creating new moments to share. We are American Authors from Brooklyn, New york.

The Colourist first stumbled upon one another in an underused warehouse in Orange County, CA, where Adam and Maya discovered the harmonic chemistry that has come to define the band's bright and anthemic signature sound.

Having spent much of 2012 honing their live show with the likes of Grouplove, Electric Guest and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., The Colourist begin 2013 holed up in a small studio in Southern California. It's there that Adam Castilla (vocals, guitar), Maya Tuttle (drums, vocals), Kollin Johannsen (guitar, bass), and Justin Wagner (bass, keys) will commit their pop-fueled, indie-bred rock to tape before embarking on their first national tour.
