In 2011, The Bolivian Marching Affair (TBMA) stormed onto the electronic music scene, earning accolades from colleagues and critics alike. Emerging from Boston’s competitive music scene, seasoned musicians Joey Fisher, Kyle Meagher, and Chris Curran brought a unique mix of talents into the studio to forge a signature sound that has earned their tracks a place in the record crates of world famous artists like Skrillex, Kill The Noise, Feed Me, Modestep, Reid Speed, High Rankin and Dieselboy.
The Bolivian Marching Affair’s outstanding track production propelled their career, immediately grabbing the attention of legendary dubstep label Play Me Records. Their distinctive sound has set soundcloud and the blogosphere ablaze with remixes of platinum artists like Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Alice Deejay, and Kris Kross. With the release of their first EP 'Are You Up For Getting Down,' TBMA has become the group to watch, as their album rockets up on numerous online sales charts.
The group earned their reputation not just from hard work, but also a party hard attitude. Their crazy, crowd-engaging stage presence has earned them an intensely loyal fan base and relentless bookings, touring across the country. The energy of their performance is demonstrated by the artists they have shared the stage with, including Borgore, Mord Fustang, Terravita, Mt. Eden and many more.
Syd is one of the longest running fun creators in the Bay Area dance music and underground arts scene. He's been called a "Renaissance man of the West Coast scene", and with good reason. The founder of the legendary Opulent Temple collective, best known for their premierre sound stage at Burning Man, Board Member and key producer of the San Francisco LovEvolution event (formerly known as LoveFest & Love Parade), founder of Opel Productions, throwing club events and 'parties with purpose' in San Francisco for 10+ years, a child psychologist with a Doctorate in transpersonal psychology, a music producer, blogger on social issues, and of course - a DJ.
On the DJ tip, Syd is one of the West Coast's top talents, consistently being voted in the Top 10 San Francisco Dream Team poll, and playing the biggest events in California party land. Playing a versatile range of electro house breaks, and tech funk,, he's been personally tapped to open and close for the varied likes of Underworld, Moby, Tiesto, Stanton Warriors, Armin Van Burren, and the list goes on. Syd knows what to do in any situation to bring the universal vibe of dance music. His debut single 'Who Are You' on Groove Quest, recently cracked the crowded Top 30 electro house chart on Beatport. His sets are known for walking the fine line between the gritty and the pretty, and he has a musical range seldom seen in party land.

There are few DJs out of the Bay who command the respect and underground cred of UltraViolet. With a career spanning 15 years, UV aka Eva Lee holds an undeniable place as a don of San Francisco bass culture, and a master of urban beats.
Eva debuted behind the decks before she could legally vote. Long fascinated with hip hop and other street-born music, she landed a job at a well known San Francisco record store and was quickly captivated by the futuristic sounds of jungle/drum and bass. It wasn't long before DJ UltraViolet had established herself within the fast-growing SF DnB scene, and was playing the largest raves in the Bay Area alongside the biggest names in the game…all just after graduating high school.
She's accomplished a lot since those early days (or rather, nights). Eva's forward-thinking selection and top-tier mixing skills have earned her a reputation as a true tastemaker, and an establishment in the SF bass scene. Never pre-planning sets, UltraViolet draws inspiration from each individual crowd to tailor unique bass-driven experiences which send dancefloors into a frenzy. UV and her crew Redline pioneered some of the first large-scale dubstep events in the Bay Area, hosting the global bass music scene's biggest talents in clubs and dingy warehouses alike. She's continued to headline shows in California and beyond, in addition to sharing the stage with the likes of E-40, Los Rakas, Mary Anne Hobbs, Excision, Datsik, Dieselboy, Reid Speed, LTJ Bukem, Lazer Sword, KOAN Sound, Bassnectar, AC Slater, 12th Planet, UZ and Eprom - to name only a select few.
2012 has been a big year for UltraViolet. In addition to heavy touring (including headlining gigs in Puerto Rico and SMOG in LA), UV and company have spearheaded the burgeoning trap and future bass scene in San Francisco, founding the monthly party Trap City with huge success. Having already hosted the likes of Trap-A-Holics, Heroes x Villains, and Trill Murray (not to mention a drool-worthy crew of residents), Trap City shows no sign of slowing down. With original productions and collabs making the rounds amongst the bass scene elite - UltraViolet stands poised to run the trap in 2013. Watch out...
