Jesse Thomas was raised in Kentucky, and now resides in Los Angeles, California, where she is quickly making a name for herself. Her latest album War Dancer charted top 25 on three different Billboard categories. Her single, "You I Want," was featured as the Starbucks Pick Of The Week. She has been busy touring and playing festivals all over the country. She sounds like the love child of Tom Waits and Janis Joplin, while blending old school americana with new school rock. She released her follow up full length, Burn The Boats, May 13th.

The Tammy WhyNots

There’s a new band in Cincinnati ready to make YOU a fan of country music! Now, we ain’t talkin’ slicked up Top 40 country—we’re talkin’ old school, “3 chords and the truth”, voice of the common man honky tonk in the spirit of our own King Records! Clever and poignant like Homer and Jethro. Catchy and toe taping like Tammy and George!

Made up of a cast of locals already established in their own rite; Todd Lipcomb (Kentucky Struts), Kelly Thomas (KT and The Fab. Pickups), David Rhodes Brown (Warsaw Falcons, Magnolia Mountain, 500MTM), John Schmidt (Warsaw Falcons), Sylvia Mitchell (CSO, The Hiders, Hayseed Tabernacle Choir) and Greg Schramm (Tex Schram and The New Radio Cowboys), bring ‘em together and you’ve got one helluva good time!

The band has been focused on recording an EP at Candyland Studios. "Meet The Tammy WhyNots" was released in May 2011 and so far it's receiving lots of praise from fans who have purchased the album!

"I like all kinds of music and I am LOVING The Tammy WhyNots"
--Paula Puthoff, Newport, KY

"I love the CD from the TammyWhynots. It takes me back to what Country Music should sound like, versus what it has generated into today. "
--Gregg McGee, Amelia, OH

Ma Crow and The Lady Slippers

*** 3-time Nominees for the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards ***

Ma Crow and The Lady Slippers is an all-female band from Cincinnati, Ohio, and a 2013 Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominee featuring Bluegrass, Americana, and Old-time Mountain music. Ma Crow is a legendary acoustic artist in the Cincinnati area, a CAMMY (a Cincinnati Grammy) award winner, and a multi-nominee for the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.

The Lady Slippers include:
Ma Crow (vocals and guitar)
Trina Emig (banjo and mandolin)
Margie Drees (vocals and fiddle)
Vicki Abbott (vocals and bass)

Each member brings decades of professional experience, creating a unique blend of superb instrumentation and vocals.

We also play many venues regularly around greater Cincinnati area including Arnolds, Fountain Square, Eden Park, the Kenton County Library, the Cincinnati Zoo as well as live radio shows at WNKU in Northern Kentucky; WYSO in Yellow Springs, Ohio; and WAIF in Cincinnati, Ohio to name a few.

The Lady Slippers released their second album, Memory of a Mountain, February 2014 (mixed and mastered by Ron Stewart of the Boxcars). This album received a stellar review in the August 2014 addition of Bluegrass Unlimited. The Lady Slippers released their debut album, Wayward Daughter, January, 2013. The band was featured in an article in the well-known Cincinnati arts and entertainment magazine City Beat and was one of only six bands selected to perform at the prestigious Cincinnati Entertainment Awards at the Madison Theater in November, 2011. Ma Crow’s latest CD, Smoky Junction, received a stellar review in the Cincinnati Enquirer in December, 2011, and was listed in City Beat as one of the top 100 CD’s in Cincinnati for 2011. The CD was also selected by the Cincinnati Public Library to be added to their musical inventory and was reviewed in the national publication Bluegrass Unlimited.

From ballads to bluegrass and old-time to contemporary, this beautiful acoustic music is filled with artful instrumentals and sweet mountain harmonies. This band values every show and strives to make each one special, knowing that music is a treasure and gift to be shared.

Chakras is a Cincinnati based hard-rock band that incorporates elements of pop, metal, prog and punk to create a memorable, unique sound that remains accessible to the listener. Fueled by lead vocals that range from operatic to sultry, punishingly tight drums and bass, ethereal cello/keys and aggressive guitars, Chakras is a formidable combination of both high-energy and substance.

The Perfect Children

The Perfect Children are the romp and stomp;the fresh wound of broken love;laughing in spite of pain. They are a girl with something to say and a boy to help deliver the message, cathartic but engaging.Their energy is infectious, the notes ring out and the space between is an emotional exhalation-personal but vague. They live at the intersection of Holly Golightly,Dex Romweber,Nina Simone,Al Green and Otis Redding. They play from the gut, heart, and soul and are rough, raw, and real. They will guilt trip you into getting outta your seats, their dirty showcase further punctuated by 2 backing vocalists who aid in lifting the stage off the floor and blowing the doors off the joint. To quote Little Richard, they will curl up under your big toe.

The band's sonic stew of gospel, garage, blues, rock and even punk has created a buzz that's leaving jaws open, rumps shakin' and feet stompin'. With singer/songwriter Kristen Kreft (Pearlene/J. Dorsey Blues Revival) at the helm, the dynamic duo of Beth Harris(The Hiders/Pearlene) and Nicole Potter Borngrebe on backing vox, and the rhythm section inertia of Adam Shelton(RX2/Kallip) on drums and bass player Christopher Owens(Blacklight Barbarian) the vocal velocity of this frenetic force will etch an impression that will last. They are something to behold.

From the imagination of a husband and wife musical duo, blossomed a songwriting family. Since 2004, The Newbees have been producing compelling original compositions, crafted of rich harmony, improvisation, and lush string and horn orchestrations, employing vintage pop energy and rock-n-roll sensibility.

Blasting up from the cityscape of Cincinnati, OH are JetLab, an American 4-piece band, fronted by songwriters Elle Crash and Nick Barrows, with drummer Dave Welsh and guitarist Brian Smith. Grounded in the tradition of groups with multiple singers and writers, JetLab offers a wild two-sided perspective that merges rock and soul with dance and electronica, wrapping heart-hitting bass in loops of keyboards with acoustic and electric guitar with just a ghostly hint of hip-hop. With the goal of luring even shoe-gaze types to surrender control of their feet and dance, they start with a old-school rock sound that's influenced by David Bowie, Pink Floyd and the Stones, mixed with the influence of Foster the People, The Cars, LCD Sound System, Big Audio Dynamite, Gang of Four and the Talking Heads

The band formed in 2013, based on a bet between Elle and Nick to see if they could create something that would marry the mix of rock and dance that would entice the Cincinnati scene to lose control and dance again.

Drawing from their long-term pedigree of acclaimed performances in Cincinnati and beyond, and their experience of collectively opening up for Heartless Bastards, Mates of State, Happy Chichester, Dressy Bessy, The Bound Stems, Shag and Jenny Lewis and more, Elle Crash (Lovely Crash, The Fairmount Girls) and Nick Barrows (4 Track Allstars, Eagle to Squirrel, Jack Burton Overdrive) convinced drummer Dave Welsh (Jack Burton Overdrive, FrogMan) to join them in the basement lab to experiment with the base sound. They've emerged with a self-titled debut album recorded, mixed, and mastered at Candyland with Mike Montgomery (Ampline)

Moriah Haven Lawson is an eccentric woman who plays roots-inspired music with hints of pop, country, and sarcasm. As a visual artist, singer, songwriter, producer, Aspergian, and dreamer, she only knows how to be herself in song, and life, as well.

Michael J. Hamilton is an avid vinyl & comic collector, an unparalleled drummer, friend, and Chicago Blackhawks fan.

Rucca, the singing and songwriting acoustic duo, is led by two females Lauren Letsinger and Ashley Thomas. With fans of all ages, they have fun with their crowd and make memorable performances through their vocal harmonies, original and cover songs.

Originally, they played as Strike Me Pink when they first formed in 2002. In 2005 they gained recognition and a larger following by playing local venues in the Cincinnati/Tri-state area. Their first recording experience was with Random Precision Studios followed by Candyland Studios with their second project, Hearts for Heroes. Although they enjoyed their full band experience with Hearts for Heroes, their fans seemed to want more of their original, acoustic style.

Over the past few years, Rucca has been able to add some great experiences to their list such as an interview with Kiss 107 and Fox 19 from Cincinnati, OH. They've also been chosen to be the first artists ever to kick off the Summer Concert Series on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. This opened the doors for a variety of local venues such as The Southgate House, Madison Theater, The Mad Hatter Club, Radio Down and Mainstay.

Additionally, they have been asked to perform at the Time Warner Stage at Riverbend Music Center where they became an opening act for artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, The American Idol Live Tour, Heart, Stevie Nicks, The Jonas Brothers, and many more.

Currently, Rucca is unsigned but has high hopes to be acknowledged in the music industry for their originality, heartfelt lyrics, and ability to appeal to a widespread audience.

Heather Hamlet

Singer/songwriter. Mother. General person of awesomeness.
truthful, honest, words, straight from my little beating heart.

Veronica Grim & The Blue Ribbon Boys

Folks 'round here know Veronica Grim from her wild punk / psychobilly outfit De Los Muertos and Switchblade Syndicate, but when she packs an acoustic guitar the wallop can be twice as great, specializing in firecracker country music inspired by Wanda Jackson, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette.
