Jesse Thomas

Jesse Thomas is an L.A. based artist originally from Covington, Kentucky. In late 2008, with little money in her pocket she packed up her bags and moved out to Los Angeles by herself not knowing a soul when she arrived. After a few open mics around the valley and some very rough home-recorded demos, she caught the attention of producer Jim Roach.

Besides her poignant yet hilarious live persona, what makes Jesse so unique is her raw smokey voice that is truly all her own. It's something most don't expect from a girl under 5' in her 20s.

In Spring 2010 Jesse finished up her debut album "Hazel EP" which hit iTunes and stores nationally in September 2010. The album debuted in the top ten of the singer/songwriter charts and was featured on ITunes "New and Noteworthy," as well as the "Indie Spotlight." In early 2011 her song "You I Want" will be featured at Starbucks as their "pick of the week," nationally and through Canada. Her song "Stay" was featured on teen nicks "Degrassi" and her youtube video of the same song has generated over 80,000 views. She has opened for John Mayer, Owl City, Lights, and Angel Taylor.

Jesse will be back in the studio early 2011 to begin recording her next release.

The Tammy Whynots

There's a band in town ready to make YOU a fan of country music! Now, we ain't talkin' slicked up Top 40 country, we're talkin' Old School, 3 chords and the truth, voice of the common man country in the spirit of our own King Records!

Clever and poignant like Homer and Jetro! Cathy and toe-tapping like Tammy and George!

Shiny & The Spoon

Shiny and the Spoon is Cincinnati's own ukulele folk-pop duo consisting of Amber Nash and Jordan Neff. Jordan will tell you that he is "the spoon," although Amber will tell you otherwise.

Shiny and the Spoon give off the warmth and intimacy of the likes of Johnny Cash and June Carter, with a sense of humor-whether it be sardonic lyrics or door prizes. Their originals are soulful, clever, and tastefully understated. Their covers are always surprising yet strangely familiar.

After making music for less than a year, Shiny and the Spoon were nominated for a 2009 Cincinnati Entertainment Award for "New Artist of the Year." They released their debut EP in January of 2010.

"It's such a heavenly array of bluegrass/folk/Americana music that your ears won't know what to do."

Chakras formed in 2006 with a desire to create music that grasped onto an eerie, ethereal, rock vibe. The sound can take you somewhere heavy and forceful then yank you back to a dreamy flowing place. Band members are diverse in experience ranging from metal, punk, roots rock, progressive rock and main-stream pop. Chakras brings together members from other local bands such as Hollowpoint, Spiff, Pale Beneath the Blue, Backseat Virtue, Kohai and Buffalo-based Kama Sutra. The diversity creates a sound all its own. You be the judge.

The Newbees

Join Cincinnati's The Newbees as they release their latest CD, Modern Vintage, with a fab hi-fi rock-n-roll party, at the newly opened Southgate House Revival with a whole house event.

Celebrating the release of the CD with them will be their fine friends Magnolia Mountain, Worldwide, Ricky Nye & Chris Douglas, Shiny Old Soul, Les Whorettes, House of Feeble Minds, See You in The Funnies and Michelle Hemmer.

"We see your electronic rock music, and we raise you a strand of twinkle lights and a jetpack..."

Moriah Haven Lawson is an eccentric woman who plays roots-inspired music with hints of pop, country, and sarcasm. As a visual artist, singer, songwriter, producer, Aspergian, and dreamer, she only knows how to be herself in song, and life, as well.

Michael J. Hamilton is an avid vinyl & comic collector, an unparalleled drummer, friend, and Chicago Blackhawks fan.

Veronica Grim & The Blue Ribbon Boys

Folks 'round here know Veronica Grim from her wild punk / psychobilly outfit De Los Muertos and Switchblade Syndicate, but when she packs an acoustic guitar the wallop can be twice as great, specializing in firecracker country music inspired by Wanda Jackson, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette.
