Leftover Cuties: An irresistible combination of sultry vocals, pop-perfect songwriting, and old-school musicianship.
From the opening theme of Showtime’s “The Big C” to the infectiously happy “Smile Big” that propelled last Summer's Olympic Samsung Galaxy S III commercial to the current worldwide Hyundai commercial that features the groups cover of "When You're Smiling", Leftover Cuties are a band you’ve heard but may not know yet.
This summer, Leftover Cuties will harness all of their past successes to release a brand-new full length album, THE SPARK & THE FIRE. Produced by multi Grammy award winning engineer/producer Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Macy Gray), the collection is led by the foot-stomping, driving anthem "One Heart," and features the heartbreakingly sweet ballad "Clarity," an instant classic. Topped by a full US tour, 2013 will surely see Leftover Cuties catch fire.
Rybalko is the new recording project of former todayokay frontman Matt McLean. McLean sets his nimble finger-picking and pure vocals against inventive beats and subtle electronic flourishes, creating a folk-inflected sound that's both atmospheric and tightly organized. McLean plans to put out new Rybalko releases regularly, emphasizing the recording process, but also playing select shows around the Bay Area.
Chicks, guitars, cowboy boots, harmonies, Americana folk rock with a stab of Emo. These girls can play and they're fun to look at too. Gotaway girl lives up to their name through nostalgic reminders for the boys and empowering lyrics for the gals. You can catch them playing all over the La La music scene at The Hotel Cafe, House of Blues, The Mint, etc. and of course performing in support of their favorite charity, The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Currently in the studio, but excited to hit the festival circuit this summer...stay tuned for tour dates!
