A completely live group, they maintain an aesthetic that allows them to have a modern pop appeal while backing it with the knowledge and chops of an old school band. Their collective diversity creates a palette rich in depth, and allows them to seamlessly fuse elements that might not traditionally seem to mix into a catchy, cohesive brand of music all their own. The group formed in 2002 when through a mutual friend, aspiring rock band Tipsy Gypsys met the up and coming hip hop collective Collabo. The two groups instantly hit if off and in no time were making music together. Soon after, under their new moniker, they released their first full length album, "Live In Five."
Brainchild is a band that combines the feeling of jazz & soul with the intensity of shredding guitar solos. Their growing list of original songs combined with a diverse selection of covers are a perfect blend of many styles of music. The best way to describe the sound is Brainchild. They are an up and coming band that's out to melt your face. Recently they have been traveling the mid-west rocking out with bands like Sublime, Marshall Tucker Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, 56 Hope Rd., Family Groove Co. and Groovatron. Playing regularly in Chicago and Indianapolis. A recent highlight was having special guest Kris Myers from Umphrey's McGee sit in at the Kinetic Playground after show during their New Years run. Brainchild attended their seventh straight Summer Camp Music Festival this year and it was the best one yet!

Hailing from Springfield, IL, Armando Zuniga aka “MonDope” is a fresh force to be reckoned with. Although he has only been performing live and promoting for about 3 1/2 years and Producing a little over 1 year still learning the elements of electronic music, MonDope is no stranger to the scene. With an eclectic arsenal of music ranging from roots of reggae, metal to hip-hop and underground, as well as many different forms of electronic music, there is never a dull moment in his sets. In the summer of 2010 Mondope came together with other local DJ's/Producers to form Killinoize, a production company interested in bringing the new wave of bass music to Illinois’ own capitol city.
Killinoize quickly gained a following of like-minded enthusiasts and bass heads in the region. Mondope’s sets are energetic and demand your attention. He will bring anything from glitch-hop to dubstep, drum & bass, crunk, moombahton, breaks, funk and even jungle/reggae to the dance floor. Able to feel out any crowd at any moment, he delivers a HEADY blend to get down to, already playing along side National acts such as Jantsen, Hugs&Drugs, Pretty Lights, Michael Menert, Love & Light, NastyNasty, TankMan, Trowa, Udachi, VibeSquad, DNAE BEATS, R/D, NiTGriT, Splatinum, Minnesota, Freddy Todd, Omega, Elfkowitz, Project Pat, Grimblee, The Car Thief, Alpaca, Phaded, Spankalicous and more to come. Also making his first appearance at Tall Tree Lake Festival 2011 playing a set right after Ill-Esha and Joe Mousepad. The year of 2012 was very busy for MonDope playing shows in different cities such as Dayton OH, Cinncinatti OH, Davenport IA, Rock Island IL, Charleston, IL and Kansas City, MO just to name a few. Annatomic first fell in love with electronic music in the early to mid 90's by being introduced by several DJ friends who frequented Raves and clubs in Chicago. Some of her favorite places were The Shelter, Berlin, Crowbar and Red Dog. About 13 years ago she started dabling in DJing and acquired her first set of technics and started gathering records. She has now been DJing out in clubs steady for the last 8 years where she held a residency in Racine, WI spinning Hip-hop, reggae, R n B and House, in Milwaukee, WI she opened for Alexander East at Bad Genie, Fortune at Crave and performed at other various events around town. In 2012 she relocated
Springfield, IL and has started to network with other local "House Heads" to try and get the house movement sparked up again, you may have caught her opening for Boombox or DJing on Saturday Night Mixlab on 88.3 WQNA. Her favorite genre will always be house music, particularly tracks that have a funky percussion, sexy vocals and any/or any other nuance that makes hearts flutter and hips shake!!!!! Quote from her, "I LOVE DJing because it gives me freedom to move people through music and a creative outlet to spread positive energy and passion."
