Probably the artist that has single-handedly pioneered the filthy dubstep sound in Belgium, and has been picked up by all of the major players, is Point.Blank. Initially made up of two people, now there’s only Matar at the controls, and he has turned the Point.Blank sound into an instantly recognisable dancefloor-minded attack, aimed squarely at your feet!
With numerous releases under his belt on underground labels such as Dubsaw, Prime Adio, Ultragore, Betamorph, 2 Much Bass and Dub All or Nothing, his hard-as-nails sound has been getting caned by the likes of Borgore, Habstrakt, Eptic among many others.
Based out of Boulder, Patrick “Dirt Monkey” Megeath has been producing for nearly 10 years, starting with hip-hop and breaks before trying his hand at dubstep. With a keen ear for bass and a vast knowledge of music production, he has quickly exploded onto the scene with his innovative original productions and energetic stage presence.
Mizer & Goetz
Here is some obligatorily cliche bio about how we spawned from the depths of bass hell, born as two half-robot half-music gods, and put onto the earth to bust guts and melt faces with super-human lazer infused tracks.
Ever since he could remember, Donnie Miller has had a deep love for music. He was introduced to this love at a very early age. As a toddler, there constantly was music playing in the house. As he grew into an elementary school student, he took music classes and computer classes where he was first introduced to the music program Garage Band. He did not have the program at home, so he would stay hours after school was over in the computer laboratory, just learning the simple functions of how it worked. By age 12 he had picked up the guitar, bass, and piano. He would put on concerts for his friends and family at his house. This is when he realized that he could do something in his life with his love for music. By age 17, Donnie had become a signed musician and had released on two very reputable record labels. Every one of his releases made Top 100 charts on Beatport, and some even broke the Top 10. Now, Miller is 18 years old and is already living his dream. He is sharing the stage and talking with artists that have inspired him to write music. He even missed his high school chording ceremony because he was opening for Imagine Dragons. Sharing the stage with some of his icons and making incredible connections, Donnie is taking the Colorado Bass Music scene by storm. With support from well known talent such as The Maniac Agenda, Gummy, Fista Cuffs and more, the places he is going seem to be very bright. Currently Donnie is a proud student at the University of Colorado at Boulder and is making his music known there, while becoming a Marketing Major. Decadon's productions are both cutting edge and infectious with his usage of rock and roll influence and heavy bass, quickly gathering fame on the west coast circuit. He also has support from such music blogs as Dubstep.net, ThisSongSlaps.com, Techibeats.com, TheKollection.com, and many others. With his music and live performances already touching thousands of people, this up and coming Colorado – based musician is only getting started, and is making a name for himself in the global dance music community.
