Fight the Fade

Fight The Fade (stylized as FTF) is an American rock band from Shawnee, Oklahoma, formed in 2009. The band’s lineup consists of singer Zene Smith; guitarists Tyler Simpson and Bryan Conway; bassist Trevor Taylor and drummer Chris Robertson. They are known for their Christian rock music which incorporates other sounds such as alternative rock, hard rock, heavy metal and post-grunge. Respectively, Jason McPhail was the band’s original lead vocalist, and was replaced by Smith in 2011.
To date, Fight The Fade has released one studio album: American Missionary (2010), and a self-titled in early (2009). Fight The Fade also released a studio single on September 13, 2011 entitled “House Of Cards” which featured first time studio performances from Zene Smith and newly added rhythm guitarist Bryan Conway. The band is well known for their energetic live shows, performing 250+ concerts since their self-titled EP was released. They have given away more than 10,000 copies of the Fight The Fade and American Missionary combined. Fight The Fade has toured from the Midwest to the west coast and everywhere in between. They have played and toured with some of the biggest names in Christian music, Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Mercy Me, Jars Of Clay, Disciple, Fireflight, The Letter Black, Brian “Head” Welch, Seventh Day Slumber, Sent by Ravens, and Children 18:3 to name a few.
Fight the Fade released the new album “What We Know” on May 11, 2012 featuring the songs “House of Cards” and “Tomorrow.”

This City Awaits

This City Awaits is a simple, straightforward three-piece rock band. Guitar, Drums, and Bass—exactly everything you need to make rock and roll. This City Awaits was formed in 2010 because of a desire to be an influence and have a voice in the local music scene. Hard work led to multiple gigs as a supporting act for Hawthorne Heights, Disciple, and Seventh Day Slumber. Determined to move forward in 2011, they recorded their debut album, “Code Red: Urgency” right here in their hometown of Dallas, Texas. The success of two singles from the album “Come Back To Me” and “The Addiction” led to 600+ copies being sold—great results for an independent band.

Every year the band will sit down and write down goals for the upcoming year, and in 2012 one of their goals was to do something that no band their size had dared to do before: tour and tour a lot. In 2012, they posted 90+ dates on the road with dates reaching out as far as Norfolk, VA and Jackson, WY. As if the response from the fans wasn't successful enough, they ended up getting recognized by the independent label Red Cord Records and ultimately signing to their artist management group, BridgeWay Entertainment.

In the fall of 2012, and with 2013 just around the corner, This City Awaits quietly went into studio to record a new album, working closely with Chris Galvez as producer. Their second album, “Said the Liar” can be simply described as 10 songs that are more mature and stronger for This City Awaits.
