June Singer Songwriter Showcase

June Singer Songwriter Showcase

The June 2014 installment of our singer songwriter showcase is bursting with talent. This showcase puts six songwriters together to perform two short 15 minute sets. This is a listening room experience with delicious food and drinks, and some of incredible original entertainment.

Andrea Nardello, Billy Penn Burger, Danielle and Jennifer, Ginny Wilder, Hanna Melba, No Good Sister

Angelee Gerovasiliou

Transporting listeners both emotionally and spiritually, Philadelphia native Angelee will connect with you when he takes the stage with a voice that is clear, strong, compelling and memorable. The singer/songwriter, who's known for his passion and energy, recently released his third album "Miss You" with the lead track "Blue" recently named 93.7FM WSTW's "Hometown Heroes" song of the year.

Bryan Russo

Bryan Russo is an acclaimed songwriter, and an award winning journalist, whose big bluesy voice wallops audiences with soulful lyrics that bite. He’s an old soul with a sound to match and he writes like he overheard Tom Waits and Randy Newman talking about life in a diner. Bryan has shared the stage (either solo or with his bad The Tragic Figures) with such acts as: The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, G Love and Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter, Shooter Jennings, Lukas Nelson and POTR, J Roddy Walston and the Business, Low Cut Connie, and very soon….John Mayall.

Dani Mari’s clever melodies and intelligent lyrics reflect her dedication to a serious music career which has seen her play at the Tin Angel, World Café Live, and The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, The Bitter End, Piano's and Caffe Vivaldi in New York City, and at SXSW in Austin. In addition, she has performed with acts such as Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Mates of State, Of Montreal, Jeffrey Gaines and Patti Smith.

Frank Viele

Frank Viele constructs his sound beneath an acoustic funk ceiling with windows of alternative pop, folk and soul. A musical carpenter in the independent rock genre, this singer/songwriters approach mixes a dry wit with a soulful touch. A storytelling angle finishes out the floors of this building. Frank's sound construction is cemented together by a solid blues foundation and his stylistically aware approach is evident in his singing and guitar playing.

For the past three years, twin sisters Nalani & Sarina have been performing throughout the north east. On radio, one of their songs "Start All Over" was selected as WXPN's Philly Local Pick of the Day, as well as "Hung Up" debuting on WSTW's Hometown Heroes (Wilmington, DE). In addition, they have twice been featured guests on the Sirius XM program "Kick out the Jams" with legendary music critic, Dave Marsh.
