Hour Of The Time Majesty Twelve (HOTT MT) is an experimental pop group based in Los Angeles. Together they create gritty realms of psychedelic fantasy that reflect the dusty shimmer of east hollywood. Since their formation in 2012, the group has collaborated on recordings with: The Flaming Lips, Ariel Pink, Erykah Badu, and Ke$ha, They have also opened for: The Flaming Lips, Bat For Lashes and Galaxie 500.
Tapioca & The Flea
With their video game inspired synths, arpeggiated guitars, and pulsating bass lines, the East La indie-pop chillwavers are the kind of band that leave you feeling like a teenager in the 90's tripped out in a pool of reverb and rhythms. Expect the debut EP fall 2012.
Oh Boy Les Mecs
Electronic and Analog noisesmiths informed by: science fiction-forests- Northern lights-night swims in the ocean-future past present perfect dreamscapes- impulse narcotic purchases (no return policy)- and alien sightings in the desert (or the hope thereof).
The four men who call themselves GAZOOTIANS are mere representatives of revelation; guardians of sounds and scene as they bring together the assemblage point of Desert, Forest, Ocean, Mountain, and Moon. Received from the ether, and put into form, the band GAZOOTA shapes itself akin to the melodic whimsy of '60's Psychedelia, the avant-garde hypnotism of German Kraut-Rock, the theatrics and eccentricities of '70's Art Rock, the tones and vigor of Post-Punk/New Wave, the sweeping textures of British Shoegaze, and the organic-jazz-infused landscapes of Post-Rock, all floating on-top of Afro/Asianic inspired rhythms.
